I'm a sap for HEA and that is the main reason I continued to read the series. I desperately wanted, no needed the ending. I loved the characters, all of them. They were all created well, had depth, humor, and was easily to relate to. Brayden was my favorite and I wished I had a BBFL like him. I have a big brother he was never that cool or fun.
The writing was great, characters were exceptional, the story, that's where I got held up.
As I said, first book great. I had some issues when I found out there was a second book. I wondered what could bring a second book. There wasn't a cliff hanger, so what is happening now. Zach is what is happening now. Which I must say it was refreshing that the trouble in paradise wasn't Romoe being a douche and cheating on her for whatever reason. They stuck together, they were a strong United front. Awesome, yay, I liked that. But was it really necessary? I say no, others may disagree. But still needing that HEA I read this this third book but couldn't possibly figure out what could happen now. And it was even more far fetched than the second book. All these thing could happen, I get that. But this poor couple, does Rimmel really have that much bad luck or what. It just seemed all to much, so much and in such a short time spam. It was overwhelming and actually kind of aggravating. After something new would happen I would find myself groaning, and going Come On, what now, there couldn't be any more drama left they had it all in the last chapter. It was just too much.
Again let me say, it was refreshing not having the cliche cheating hot boyfriend and nerd girlfriend. That was nice. Another problem for me, Zach. It was left unanswered of why her. I understand why Romeo, but it seemed all.of his aggression was steered toward her. Was this really to get back at Romeo, or was there something else. His actions from the beginning made me think be secretly liked her and set Romeo up to hurt her because Zach could rush in and be the knight in shinning armor. And in this book, him attacking her in the judges office, why her and not Romeo? There's so much unanswered questions with him that it drives me crazy. (I will admit I have ocd, which also drove me to finishing the series.)
But, Brayden, he made the last book better for me. I'm really happy to see he has his book coming and I will read it. I just hoped its not dragged out with too much drama that it takes away from the love as I felt these books were. It wasn't a waste of my time and I did really enjoy them. The buzz feed was awesome and always made me chuckle.
By the way, I got my HEA!!!
Cambria I tip my hat to you ... you have done it again. Typically for me a series looses steam after a book or two, but not with the Hashtag series, this book was full of drama, suspense, twists I didn't see coming, love, friendship, and family. Cambria writes characters that you can't help but love and I most definitely love Romeo and Rimmel. This was a perfect ending to their story, and I can not wait to read about Braeden.
I love how the characters have grown with each book. Rimmel started out as this shy, introvert, hiding in her big clothes and shaggy hair. She has come out of her shell, she is strong, determined, and protective of those she loves. Romeo who was a womanizer, a big man on campus who flirted with every breath, and commitment was the furthest thing from his mind. He has become a loving boyfriend, he protects Rimmel with his life, and is devoted to her mind, body and soul. Their journey has been amazing to read.
"Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo’s entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened… and my past? It’s coming back to haunt me. To haunt us."
#Player picks up right where #Hater left off, Rimmel was attacked, strung up, and tortured by Zack and Romeo had come to her rescue and took a fall that has injured him. They are in the hospital waiting for word on what is wrong with Romeos arm. Will his career be over before it even begins?? Is what Romeos mom said true?? How will all of this affect their future?? Do they have a future??
“How do you do it?” I whispered. My tongue felt thick against the roof of my mouth.
“Do what?” he asked. That look never once left his eyes. If anything, it swept me in tighter.
“How do you look at me like… like I’m everything?” He made a low sound in the deepest part of his throat. Sort of like a growl, sort of like an agreement.
“Because you are.”
With Rimmels past brought to light she has questions, so many questions. Everything she thought she knew was a lie. She seeks out answers from her father and grandparents. She is determined to know what happened all those years ago. While Romeo deals with his injury and tries and his unclear future with the NFL. Romeo and Rimmel face threats from new forces at every turn, while stealing dealing with life, college, family, and relationships. But being who they are they face everything head on, side by side together. These two are a force to be reckoned with, their love is so fierce and strong that I pity anything or anyone who gets in their way.
"Everyone gravitated toward her. She was infectious. She infected people with her warmth and light . She was absolutely the kind of person that made others remember how good she made them feel , long after they walked away."
"Rimmel was it for me. She was my forever."
