I think it's been established that I don't often do serials but holy crap, this one is changing my mind on it altogether. Rocky and Link, just might be two of THE BEST characters I've ever come across because of how real they appear. Everything they experience, with each other and apart, it's just raw and freaking mind blowing.
I attempted not to fangirl, but I failed. I heart this book and these characters so hard and now I need more, so I'm just gonna go get book three now! I'm actually glad I came into this author late because it means I've got more to go back and read.
Go get this serial...now. I swear to god, you won't be disappointed. Just be prepared to be mindblown in the process.
Part 2 picks up where part 1 left off, link is at Greg Anthony's apartment trying to get information regarding that other murderers. In part 2 Link is taking a lot of time to seek his vengeance and is out of the gym a lot. He realizes he needs to hire a secretary to do some of the office type work.
and who would be the perfect secretary...Rocky
now that Rocky is at the gym on regular basis this provides more opportunity for Link and Rocky to connect.
Again we are only treated to little pieces of information, but I like where things are heading. It is hard to give away more information without providing spoilers, so you really just need to read it!!
This series started off with such a bang that part of me was worried that it would fizzle out. I was wrong, the second installment just got a whole bunch grittier. Link is having to face that he's taken one of the four, still in need of the names of the two others that remain nameless. His inner battle between his attraction to Rocky and his memory of Olivia and the right & wrong about his own form of justice... Well sh** just got way angsty and I flucking love it.
Link has done the unthinkable and still hasn't gotten what he wants from it. Trying to live a normal life with his past taunting him is getting old. Not to mention Rocky and her wild ways are driving him crazy. She is constantly putting herself in danger because she just doesn't care anymore. This is something Link can't stand by and watch happen, not again.
Link and Rocky get closer in book two, sharing a bit more about the past they try so hard to move on from. You see they are absolutely made for each other, however there is a mountain of drama in front of them to climb over to finally be happy. He has to decide what to do with Aaron Woods as well as the feelings he is starting to have towards Rocky that betray his precious Livie.
Again we are left with a WTF? ending, but book three is out and ready to go. Lots of action, suspense and sex in these books, leaving me wanting more. Off to book three I go!!
