“Ella Snotty is worth more than a quickie…
After a family scandal tore their family apart, seventeen-year-old Ella chooses to stay in California with her mom for the rest of the school year. Things are lonely since her sister Lena went to live with their dad. But at least she has her new boyfriend, Shane Quinn, to make things a little less depressing.
Ella isn’t the only girl who thinks Shane is swoon-worthy…
Shane takes Ella out to blow off some steam, and the party isn’t short on alcohol. When a tipsy old flame “falls” into Shane’s lap, her spontaneous kiss makes Ella more than a little jealous. And when details of Shane’s dating history surface, Ella is determined to be more than a fling.
The V-word will slow things down…
Afraid Shane wants to use her for a little fun, Ella lies and says she’s a virgin. According to his reputation, Shane has commitment issues. Maybe it’ll make him stick around long enough for them to form a real connection before the physical sparks fly. But is he worth the lie? And what happens when both of their insecurities come crumbling down like a house of cards?
She wants his heart. He’s afraid to commit. As the pressure mounts, will they find comfort in each other? Or will they learn that when playing with fire, you risk getting burned?”
This series has been incredible to read. Each book was better than the last, but this book did stand out just a tiny bit more than the others. This book centers around Ella. Ella has had her own struggles with everything that has been going on, she has been separated from her sister but now the stakes are higher with Shane involved. Shane is Ella’s boyfriend who has his own set of issues and drama to sort through. Not only is Ella lonely and missing her sister, but she has bigger issues to tend to as well. One being the scarlet V she’s carrying around, not to mention her efforts to get and keep Shane’s attention because she knows now more than ever she wants and needs to be more than just a fling for Shane. Will the lies and insecurities become too much for them to handle? Will their love become a raging inferno or will they fizzle and burn out? That’s just the chance you have to be willing to take when you play with fire.
Taylor has created a great escape for her readers filled with all the things you could want from a book. There is scandal, lies, and tons of drama! Her writing is amazing and keeps you turning the pages and losing sleep…. (totally worth it) These books and since this is the third, it’s safe to say the whole trio are great reads and have earned a solid 5 cupcakes! Happy Reading!

Review by Raychel
Lena is my favorite character out of all of them, but I have to say - this story was my favorite. I was definitely caught up in the drama.
And speaking of drama, Ella's life is full of it- not only is she dealing with her family issues and loneliness from the separation, but she's having boyfriend issues too. She's a virgin and her boyfriend Shane has commitment issues... I really wanted to smack him at times, I'll be honest.
Ok, I've already spoiled enough! Just read it!! This is a fantastic series. These books are fun and they have some of the most unforgettable characters I've ever met! You won't be disappointed!
Great book. Loved it
