About the author

Maker extraordinaire, Courtney is an artist, author, collaborator and shop owner. Her books, Playing with Image Transfers, Washi Tape 101, Playing With Surface Design and Make Art Where You Are have been translated into Italian, French, German, Spanish and Chinese. Courtney teaches workshops all over the country and online at Creativebug.com where she is the Editor-In-Chief. Her work has been featured on Oh Happy Day, Design Sponge, the SF Chronicle, Instagram, The Jealous Curator and BuzzFeed among others. She makes something everyday and can be found on instagram as @ccerruti
Courtney sees books as objects to be read and re-purposed, candy wrappers as paper flower petals, toilet paper tubes as a menagerie of animals. She sees the potential in the discarded, history in the mundane and art in the everyday. She saves everything, makes anything and teaches from a place of passion and authenticity. Courtney believes everyone is creative and she’d rather spend an evening drinking tea and painting than doing anything else (except maybe scavenging treasures abroad).

I must add that I had the opportunity to meet Courtney in person during a book talk for one of her more recent projects. She is real and down-to-earth, friendly and encouraging.
acetone, gel skin medium transfer, and an acrylic paint transfer.
Then there are the projects she uses each of the above on. Get out your camera as she used photographs a lot.
I haven't made the time to try these yet, but I am very glad to have the book. Thank you Courtney Cerruti
