Also, this book would make a great gift for my mom, a self-taught artist always looking for ways to expand her skill set and try new things. Her creative tutorials do not leave a single step out and even offer tips she personally uses for successful transfers. The breadth of mediums included is extensive, and the samples for each transfer are well-executed. My book is now well-loved from use, and I strongly recommend it for creative-types looking to experiment with new techniques.

I must add that I had the opportunity to meet Courtney in person during a book talk for one of her more recent projects. She is real and down-to-earth, friendly and encouraging.

The book includes detailed descriptions (with clear photographs) of a variety of transfer methods. I'm always on the lookout for tips on how to make image transfers work (I still have a devil of a time with gel-medium transfers), and this book has lots of them, plus a terrific section with projects and ideas. All in a beautifully presented book full of gorgeous artwork.

I love transfers. I love the transparent effect. This book shows 5 different ways doing a transfer: Using packing tape, a blender pen,
acetone, gel skin medium transfer, and an acrylic paint transfer.

Then there are the projects she uses each of the above on. Get out your camera as she used photographs a lot.

I haven't made the time to try these yet, but I am very glad to have the book. Thank you Courtney Cerruti
