Austin James is mine.
Mine to take care of.
Mine to protect.
Mine to spoil.
OTT ALPHA DAVID TAYLOR is back. Just when their erotic love story was speed-fast and over the top insta-love, sexy and possessive... J.C. turned this into a series. I loved PLAYING FOR KEEPS and didn't think she could top my ORIGINAL Stalker...I'm wrong. The possession David has over Austin is very over the top and I love it. This relationship is exactly what Austin needs. What David needs. Their story is perfect for them. You learn more about Austin's and David's past. And you love them even more as they learn more about each other. They still push the limit, but they now know when they've went to far.
If you like OVER THE TOP ALPHA MALES in LOVE. Read Playing for Keeps and Playing for Love.
I'm so proud of how this book turned out.
So might mean I'm a little on the deranged side.. But whatever.. I'd still take a loyal, bossy and devoted David Taylor over a damaged hero who screws others to deal with his love for the heroine as some of the disgusting stories that are being pushed our way claiming to be romance. Gag..
No gimme more #PerfectHero and #SafeRead love stories.. And I'll submit just like Austin did for David.
Can't wait for the next installment and I pray that this author keeps these 2 completely loyal and true. No matter what and a little brown haired baby David or sweet baby girl would be perfect to see this amazing caveman even more everything that he is.
Their jealousy was tiring. Their jealous reactions were excessive including the hero beating her ex to a bloody pulp, him tracking her via her phone and car, him having a man follow her and the heroine mentally withdrawing or running away or wanting too after getting upset about OW either from his past or OW paying attention to him in the present. Also she got sexually excited and felt good every time he got cra cra jealous, which was a lot and he usually loved it when she reacted that way too. To me, they came off as immature and psychologically damaged, in need of many years of therapy. Both were abused in the past which did contribute to their insecurities but despite understanding the cause of it, the jealousy reactions were too much for me.
Some things they did were turnoffs for me too including him insisting on down on her right after an hour of intense sweaty work outs. Also there was too many anal things done or brought up such as him giving her trouble for not wanting to go to the bathroom in front of him after colon cleansing, the eight colon cleansing he insisted on so she would be clean when she had anal smex with him which she was afraid to do because he was excessively large, her looking into reconstructive anal surgery if the anal smex caused her too much physical damage, him rimming her anally etc. It is like they never got past the stage of development where kids are fixated on bodily functions.
To top off the editing was lacking and I never believed that they would last. They knew each other a little more then ten days before they got married and the book did not cover a long period of time, months as opposed to years. The abrupt sort of HFN ending did little to offer assurances that they would be together long term and left it wide open for a third book. I probably will not be reading that book. It is time for me to jump off their crazy train.

I love how alpha and possessive David is over Austin, its also nice to read about a man with insecurities for a change, I’ve not come across any books where the character is like David, David is one of a kind!
Austin is the type of woman to keep to herself, she has a rough past and is the type of women that has a layer of ice around her heart, and she can be as cold as ice when she wants to be! She is also the type of woman that can hold her own but prefers the security and safety of David.
David is demanding and has stalker tendencies. Only because he loves Austin with all his heart. David also had a rough childhood and I guess that’s where some of his insecurities come/stem from?
David Taylor is one of the sexiest male characters I have read but also the sweetest. His love for Austin makes my heart melt.
I could read playing for keeps and playing for love over and over again and never get bored. Its one of them series I will never stop loving.
P.S I absolutely LOVE the snake scene
The 1st in the series Playing for Keeps was one of my fave books of 2015!
I read it in one (very long) night...woke up re read it, and have read it again a few times since.
So obviously I've been eagerly awaiting this book, and although I didn't find it as good as the first...I still loved it.
David **swoons**....OMG...Mr Taylor!! I loved him more and more throughout the story, he's an absolute darling!
Austin....ok so first book I liked her...but this book hhmmmm.....she did piss me off a little. Her bratty, bitchy attitude pissed me off more and more the further I read....but their love story and David's character is more than enough to outweigh my growing dislike of Austin's character to award this book any less than a 5 star review!!
Very much looking forward to the next book in series.
