Paige Moore is a real beauty with her long thick auburn red hair and brilliant green eyes. She's a voluptuous, curvy girl with very little self confidence about her body and sensuality. She doesn't believe she's sexy or desirable --- especially since the brutal, painful break-up with Sawyer Burrows. And even though Paige is a stunning, beautiful young woman, her low self esteem prevents her from believing it. She's fun and kind hearted and has a dazzling personality. Her compassionate nature draws people to her friendliness. Paige owns and runs a successful Haute Couture Corset and Bustier business. She loves what she does and she does it well.
Much to his shame, he broke her heart. He cheated on her with her step-sister and for the life of him he can't remember how it happened. But ex-military Sawyer Burrows profoundly regrets hurting and losing the best thing that ever happened to him. Losing Paige still hurts. Sawyer is a handsome devil...with his military short black hair, warm dark brown eyes and devilishly charming smile. He could easily pass for a model with his well toned, muscular physique...Yeah, Sawyer is one hawt piece of yummy! He lives with nightmares and dark memories from his time in the military. Dark shadows lurk within his head and never leave him in peace.
As much as I liked this story, there was little substance to it. Nothing more than two people trying to find their way back to each other after a nasty breakup. Sorry, but that's the whole story. Trying to work out your hurt and differences all-the-while the mean step-sister is on the sidelines tripping up your progress. There's no drama...no suspense or intrigue. It's not a story I would pick up and reread again any time soon. I liked that there's no cliffhanger and everyone gets their HEA. And there's an obvious set-up for Kendall and Jase's story coming up next. Unfortunately there's not enough interest to make me wanna read it. Ok...throw your rocks. I'm ready.
This book especially is heartfelt. A woman who has struggled with her self image due to her vindictive step sister looses the one man that loved her for her. Over a year later they meet again and he proves his love and restores her self image.
I loved this book, the naughty and nice parts and that there are men that find the true beauty of a woman.
