Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers find the adapter to be a good product. However, the functionality receives mixed feedback, with some saying it works perfectly while others report it doesn't work at all. Moreover, customers disagree on the ease of use, with several noting the lack of instructions.
This listing is sort of misleading in several ways but still truthful. I bought this adaptor so I could use my xbox 360 arcade stick with my PS3, and to that end this performs perfectly. No lag, easy, simple, plug and play. My friend also purchased this so he could use his PS arcade stick with his Xbox 360, and to that end this will not work for you. The device only has one female USB receiver (used to connect the wired Xbox 360 controller when using a PS2 controller.
As several people have already pointed out. The PS3 controllers are wireless and cannot be used with this device, PS2 -> 360 however works perfectly fine. Xbox 360 -> PS3 is nice as well. The Xbox Home Button functions the same as the home button on PS3 controller as well.
Purpose of buy: PS3 to XBOX360 Review: This item does NOT work for PS2/3 as advertised, at least not PS3. I tried my PS3 race wheel with it with no luck, and then as someone suggested on the reviews i bought an xbox controller and initialized the device with the WIRED xbox controller and swapped the xbox controller for my PS3 racing wheel, still no luck. It does not matter if it is in xbox or PS3 mode, either way it won't recognize the PS3 controller on your xbox console. Now realistically I could have tried a PS2 controller but honestly, mayflash has a universal adapter for xbox/PS3/PC AND there are better options out there if you want PS2 to xbox(or anything else) conversion. Also the instructions were pretty bad english, confusing worst of all, printed on normal printer paper. I did test this adapter on my pc as well, however the PS3 racing wheel did not work on there either though i did see a new device appear in device manager when the adapter was plugged into my pc but that is all that happened.
Summary: So in short, if you need PS3 to XBOX conversion just go with MAYFLASH since their adapters are pretty well known and actually work. I bought a mayflash adapter after this failed product and have had perfect use of it. Also the mayflash one does indeed have a port for a PS2 adapter, so regardless of your controller type or desired console you plan to plug it into you should be good to go.
Item works as advertised. I am able to use my Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Hori arcade stick for Xbox 360 with my PS3. So far works great for the street fighter games and some schumps!!!
this did not work at all. I bought this to use with my Mayflash Universal Arcade Stick (which is compatible with Xbox 360 through adapters) and It did not work at all. I went and got a regular PS2 controller to test it and it also did not work. I have a black Xbox 360 Elite, so maybe its not compatible with my model, which I feel should have been advertised correctly. Im going to be purchasing the adapter from Mayflash in lieu of this. Not recommended.
I've had this product for a few days now and it works as advertised. Using a wired Xbox 360 controller on PS3 works perfectly with no noticeable lag or delay.
There are a couple downsides in that there is no way to alter button mapping unless the game itself allows it, so you might be stuck using the 360 controller's bumpers when you rather use its triggers. The only game I've really tested it on, Modern Warfare 3, does allow proper button mapping so this hasn't been an issue for me yet. Additionally, the 360 controller's light will flash endlessly as though it's searching for a connection. This is an unfortunate annoyance but does not otherwise affect gameplay.
I neglected to read the comments before I bought this and it doesn't work. Maybe because I have an older Xbox 360. Wish it said that in the description. Now how much trouble will it be to get a refund?
