I think it looks very nice. I wouldn't put it close to our gas fireplace anyway as you're not supposed to obstruct the heat at all when it's in operation - just use the screen - so I have it about a foot or more away and won't have the issues some have mentioned with the melting around the glass. But it looks great and will totally do the job of keeping my daughter's dog away from the "wool" he tried to eat last time he was here! For the price, I think it's a really good deal.

Don't be fooled by the good looks, the glass diamonds are flimsy. After a single fire, they cracked. I replaced it, thinking it was defective, but the 2nd one did the same thing. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE A WORKING FIREPLACE. Very disappointing, to say the least.

Very nice looking screen. Arrived quickly and was packaged well. Looked great. But as soon as I used it there were big drips running down the diamond insert pieces. I thought it was the pieces themselves melting, but as another purchaser stated - it does seem to be the glue holding the diamond pieces in that melted running down the diamond pieces. I had contacted the company months back and they were going to send me a replacement, but I asked them if the replacement diamonds were made of the same substance as the original screen's diamonds, wouldn't I have the same problem with them? And I never got a reply or replacement. Came back on here today to see if I could get back in touch with manufacturer and see that someone else had a problem with the glue holding the diamonds in melting and running down the diamonds - and I woundered if that was the same problem that my screen has. I checked - and yes, it does seem to be the same problem. I thought it was the diamonds themselves, but it seems to be the glue that is holding the diamond inserts in. I don't need a replacement screen if I can take care of this myself - I just want to make sure that the glass pieces aren't going to fall out if the glue holding them in melts off.
