I want to add one item, that I felt was missing from this book..that inspires me. I know the Holder family and the I saw Harold's wife, Anna, the day after his surgery and she was simply beautiful. She wore a crisp white shirt, jeans, make-up and her hair was perfect. I asked her how and why does she look so gorgeous when her world is falling apart. Her answer? She wanted to be beautiful for Harold when he opened up his eyes from surgery. Consciously or unconsciously, they both were working on recovery together--even though they could not share conversation yet.
