The conspirators included political operatives, law enforcement and intelligence officials, and the press.
The plot was uncovered by Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his investigative team. They understood that the target of the operation wasn't just Trump, but rather the institutions that sustain our republic. A country where operatives use the intelligence and security services to protect their privileges by spying on Americans, coordinating with the press, and using extra-constitutional means to undermine an election then undo a presidency is more like the third world than the republic envisioned by the founding fathers.

I downloaded this book as quick as it was available. Why? Because I felt there was an author who would finally not just repeat what has been already said without providing documented references and I have found it. I was so disgusted and actually scared that our government would work at devious levels to erase a candidate, a President. It's truly a horror story. Will this be viewed in an unbiased fashion, of course not. You can already see immediate comments attempting to "erase" this author as they have tried to do to President Trump. Will you fall for their lies or will you at least read this book with an open mind. Time will tell.

There is no real attempt here to acknowledge and refute evidence counter to the writer’s thesis. Such evidence is a available in spades. The author also never acknowledges weaknesses in his own position.

I’m open to any conspiracy claims, whether from the right or the left, but this is simply not a real effort to get at the truth. It’s not a credible argument; just political hackery.

Many books have been written on this subject, but if you can only read one - this is the book. I thought I knew a lot on the Russian Collusion Delusion, but this book goes deeper than what is common knowledge.

Much of the material in the book could not be made public until now. With the Inspector General’s report due any day, Lee Smith’s work will have a solid confirmation of the corruption going on with the ‘deep state’, plus the collusion of the Democrat’s in Congress and the press.

Thank you Devin Nunes and your team. What has gone on for the last 3 years is beyond the current resident of the White House. The corruption in the FBI, CIA and DOJ must be exposed and those involved held accountable, or it will continue into the future to the detriment of the Nation.

Fans of Trump Will Love “The Plot Against the President”

I wanted to have fun with this review and to slip into the sort of wry humor used by Michael Royko, in which my alter ego, Vladimir Butchinsky tells readers how successfully his comrades Nunes and Trump are at MAGA.

Then, I came to realize that this book IS pretty well-written, so I decided to just write a straight review.

WRITING & EDITING: In terms of the mechanics, ie, grammar, typos and so forth, the flow is good, professional and easy to read. Mind you, it is highly biased and, in my opinion, is in no way objective journalism. I viewed it as propaganda, consistent with the original meaning of the word - a copywriter’s sales pitch for a particular viewpoint.

Some may be upset with my willingness to cross the aisle to learn what makes the MAGA fans tick. When I was young, I did likewise to learn what made hippies adopt their lifestyle. Then, later, I joined the military, because my philosophy led me to conclude that serving during Vietnam was the right thing for me to do.

BLUSH FACTOR: No worries here. Clean writing with no vulgarities.

BOTTOM LINE

If you’re a fan of Pres. Trump and MAGA, you will love “The Plot Against the President.” If you despise Pres. Trump, this book will do little to convert you.

Insofar as the writing quality, four stars out of five. Insofar as factual content, one star.

The more I read, the more horrified I became about the coordination amongst heads of the CIA, FBI and Intelligence agencies with several noted media entities like CNN, the Washington Post and The New York Times to spread falsehoods about Trump and his campaign team to try to make him unelectable and, when that failed, to remove him from office.
I now understand why the Durham undertaking has gone from an inquiry to a criminal investigation.
