The on-board peripherals include an OLED screen, headphone output, stereo microphone and abundant sensors like local atmosphere (humidity and temperature), pressure, motion (accelerometer and gyroscope), and magnetometer.
Fully Compatible Arduino Board
All the cool things you can do with an Arduino can be done with the DevKit. It is targeted for developers to create and prototype IoT projects, using a low-power device, quickly and easily. There are 25 external GPIO pins on the edge connector of the board, allowing you to connect to external sensors and actuators.

Only thing I would've added would have been a rotary encoder, or at least a linear pot to play around with. But then again, I know this is more to make IOT devices that work with Azure (but can work with anything) so it's not really meant for how I'm using it... a pre-breadboarded collection of crap I can play with in Arduino.
