Aahh, another Maggie Dallen sweet/sexy treat! There's nothing better than a good friends to lovers story and Dallen delivers some of the best in that category for me. Her stories always seem to be light and fun but also convey drama and emotion without bogging you down in inner turmoil throughout.
Drew and Olivia had a great romantic arc in this story. Deemed best friends by Olivia, poor Drew was firmly seated in the dreaded "friend zone" until he finally got his shot at freedom! The mild angst of Livvy not wanting to ruin their friendship and the sexual tension between them both was such a great balance of push/pull that kept me turning pages until I was finished. A fun and flirty read that will blissfully remove you from reality for a handful of hours that you can't miss out on if you love when friends fall in love!
There's humor, sarcasm, friends helping both Drew and Livvie to find out that they each need the other in their lives permanently. This is a fun, heart-tearing, heart-warming story.
Ideal for a quick romantic read.
BTW: for adults only ;)
I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily posted an honest review.
Good storyline, well-written, nicely told history of the relationship. Just can't help adoring Drew. The important karaoke scene was easy to visualize and the song choice was so fitting that it even came with a mental soundtrack =) I couldn't help but hear the song over and over in my head as I read this book. Good thing I like Rick Springfield =P
