I had a pair of slippers that I absolutely loved. So much so that when the tread wore out and holes appeared I resorted to drastic measures and actually duct taped them! Pretty pathetic. Sadly, one day I had to admit they were just plain old dead.
I like boot slippers and discovered that they are really difficult to find for men. I did a lot of searching and the only ones I found that I was interested in were from England and I did not want to be burdened with a pricey return if they did not fit right. Then I found these on Amazon. Fantastic! Would have liked something darker (like my zombie duct taped ones), but the quality and comfort is amazing. So much so that, even though the ones I have will probably be around for an eternity, I am going to order another pair (seriously, right after I finish this review).
Now if you are the type that is content with the no nonsense slip on stuff you might find at Walmart or Target these may not be for you. As one reviewer said these are very fuzzy and that is actually a quality I like about them. They are plush! Plus, the fur does not shed like many cheaply made products. VERY comfortable.
Also wanted to address sizes. Buying anything online that you are going to wear can be an issue. A reviewer stated that he thought the sizes ran large. I did not find that to be the case. If it helps, I wear a size 10.5 and ordered a size 11. It is a half size larger than what I usually wear and, as to be expected because of the larger size, they are ever so slightly loose. But I Love the fit.
These are extremely comfortable. Extremely well made and durable. Highly recommended.
On the plus side, it's winter here and I have been wearing them for a week now. They are really warm, and the leather exterior and wool lining seems to be of good quality. With the heavy outsole, I have no concerns about walking down the driveway to the mailbox in them.
I rolled up the sides to make them a little less hairy-looking, and ordered a different style of wool/leather slippers to wear in polite company. These will become my camp slippers this summer.
I read other reviews before buying and how they recommended that you buy a bigger size.
I ordered a size 11 even though I'm a 10 but they're a bit bigger.... I should have ordered a 10
I have had uggs, slippers from REI and other places but so far these are my favorite and I'm loving the $30 price
Overall, they are a very cost effective alternative to the name brands.
Anybody have a ruler there?

They will be tight at first. Do not give up, I nearly did, but I read other reviews and gave them another chance before returning them. After the third day they were comfy. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Rick Woolard

I've never had to buy a larger size for shoes, boots,or slippers before. They are very plush and I suppose that's the problem. They seem too short and squish my toes. Read morePublished 5 months ago by JEOR826
