Otherwise these are EXCELLENT books that I think every homeschool or teacher should consider adding to their library.
I bought this book to find out more about the many types of butterflies there are, throughout the world. It did not disappoint. The photographs throughout are breathtaking. The descriptions for each butterfly and moth aren't too long, but give a good overview, including natural habitat, size and populace.
This would also make a great gift for anyone who loves spending time outdoors, exploring these gorgeous creatures. And for those of us living in northern locations, like Canada, this is a way to see some types of butterflies and moths that never venture up this far.
Well worth the money. A beautiful book!
What I enjoy most about this book is that that the butterflies and moths are organized into their perspective family groups. Each butterfly or moth has a color picture as well as a short description about it along with the following information: the color of the catepillar it starts out as, its wingspan in inches, its habitat, regions in which you'll find the moth/butterfly, and how common or rare it is.
