I have had this item for over a month now. Unlike others, I did not see any sharp wood splinters or a super cheap worthless item. It is nothing spectacular, but it is good to practice fingering chords and notes. No, you cannot play it like a guitar- but that is not what it was designed for. There is value in this for learning and for muscle memory training, which it why it exists.
There are some limited adjustments for string tension under the plastic cover if the strings are too loose for your liking if you have a small screw driver and use the included hex wrench. The strings are real steel string segments, but they are not 'tunable'.
Overall, it is helpful for learning chords when you cannot carry your guitar around with you.
