Just too many red flags for me.
The app says “connected” but it’s not connected. The battery life says “99%” when it’s completely dead.
My dog was over 500 yards away before I noticed he was gone. . I searched for him manually because the app was wrong... it’s showed that he was “nearby” There was also no alert. The tracking history says that he’s somewhere in Sydney Australia. I have all of the above options turned I went through the set up. There were no alerts because according to the app everything is in order.... I’ve attempted 3 tines to reach support. I waited over 12 hrs between messaging they have not responded to one of my requests.
Free life time gps tracking. It’s small and comes with 2 batteries. It was a perfect fit.
But I could not get it to work. It would not sync with my phone. I was unable to update the app because it would not sync with my phone. After many stressful, frustrating hours I decided to send it back. Very Disappointing.

The reason I've given one star is the lack of customer service, and then the fact that both of the pods stopped connecting to any form of tracking - GPS, wifi, etc. I'm in an area with excellent coverage for any of these, and both of my pods are missing (lost on collars that came off) and can't be found. One was showing up in the middle of my neighbour's patio for 3 days until the battery died. We spent hours searching the entire area around there for it, with no sign so the location was completely off. Customer services were trying to say it was lost in a local wood - they were going on google maps which is 10 years out of date for the area, the wood has long since been cleared.
I tried contacting podtrackers through the app, through facebook messenger, and eventually email, but it turns out that you don't get an answer over the weekend. And you only get an answer by using the email. Which is really unhelpful if a pet goes missing on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Livechat is offered on the website as the contact option, but the box says it may take a day for an answer, so this really isn't livechat at all. The help function on the app doesn't work either.
The second pod stopped connecting a few days later, while my cat was still wearing it, and she lost it the next day. It wasn't showing up at all on the app. I contacted customer services through the email address and was told they could see it wasn't connecting. But that's it. A few days later I was getting the reminder messages to change the battery, but I couldn't find the pod to change it, so that one has died too!
Basically that's the cost of 2 trackers, plus 2 yearly subscriptions down the drain. After only setting it up in April, and this being the start of June, that's a total waste of money. I did ask for a refund on my subscription, seeing as they can see the pods disappeared, but I was told they wouldn't in case they turn up, which isn't very likely. I'm really frustrated that I put any trust into these, I'm just glad it's only the collars with the pods that are lost, and not my cats though seeing as the location doesn't work!
I was offered a discount on a new one, but seeing as neither the app, nor the actual pod work, I'll save my money and try a different product.
That is not nice to do.
I prefer to have an item like this NEW UNUSED.
I am not surprised as the seller doesn't even know what they're selling exactly.
update: after three years I have used it for a couple of months through out which it has been vaguely accurate and therefore unusable...it is max a toy...now the license is due and I will not renew for sure.
DO NOT BUY...go for some other verified by users. This one is honestly a rip off.
BTW cant even sell it for 25 pounds!!! no one will buy it.
Has been accurate to within 30 feet and although my dog cannot travel at over 200mph as the app claims, I have found it to be accurate and reliable. Mobile coverage is not great where I live but it works fine. Sometimes find the adventure part of the app to be difficult to start up. Battery percentage is not 100% accurate so personally I just replace the battery each two days. The Pod design has been very resistant to the efforts of a six month old highly active puppy to dislodge or destroy.
Customer service has been friendly and informative.
Nine months later and all has changed, when it works, it works very well unfortunately it does not work very often at all. Since March have been in touch with Pod Pet and was promised a replacement unit as it spends more time not working than working, that never arrived which was semi-fortunate as the original started working again but that was short lived. The battery expectancy is laughable, one day last week it went through three batteries this from a device that should run for 2 to 5 days. This is a vital piece of kit for me with a young dog but unfortunately it is useless, it cannot be relied on. I did give Pod Pet a week to either replace or refund but they have not even acknowledged my warning email.
I had high hopes and was pleased with customer service on line but that is not enough to make a duff device work. Avoid if you ever want to track your pet in an emergency, bit like having a pacemaker that only works some of the time.
It is not hard to set up and as we have a valuable cat that travels a long way, we would be stuck without it.
The Pod 3 is far more accurate than the pod3.
Help line is a bit slow but I did not get it for the help line.
Battery is 4 days but we charge every night. Battery swop with the two provided batteries.
