About the author

Trevor Maynard (1963-) was born in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. His new project, a collection of his own poems PARADOX, was released on 7th December, 2021. PARADOX, features 53 poems and is his first solo collection for six years, and it explores themes the how light and dark, love and hate, and clarity and confusion, co-exist in an our increasing complex and beautiful world. In response to the global pandemic, Trevor curated and produced POEMS FROM THE LOCKDOWN which features 146 poems by 115 poets from around the globe, and with 46 poems from 28 poets, HUMAN TO HUMAN, a look at individual and societal reaction in these trying times - both now available on Amazon. Trevor us also the editor of the global anthology series, THE POETIC BOND; 706 poems from 236 poets have been published over ten volumes in the series. The Poets of The Poetic Bond come from all over the globe, from the US to Malaysia, the UK to the Lebanon, with ages ranging from 14 to 92, exploring themes of love, life, age, religion, politics, nature, the universe, using free verse, blank verse, sonnets, haiku, sticking strictly to form, or riding wild on flowing streams of conscious. sometimes sparse, controlled, others taking language on a roller-coaster of metaphor and imagery. All ten volumes are available on Amazon. He has also edited NATURE 20/20, featuring 21 poets on pressing theme of the environment. This was released on 14th February, 2020, He manages the "Poetry, Review and Discuss" group on LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com/groups/Poetry-Review-Discuss-2396330.) which currently have 22,500 members (Dec, 2021). He recently edited WHO ARE WE?, and anthology of short stories on the theme of "country, identity, and race", as well as NINE FRAMES, featuring the winners of The RH Cunningham Memorial Short Story Competition 2019, and the previous volumes LIFE DANCES (2017), and OUR WORLD, YOUR PLACE (2018). Trevor's poetry collection GREY SUN, DARK MOON, is also available. He has also edited ECHOES IN THE EARTH, a collection by award winning Indian poet, PUSHPITA AWASTHI. He read Theatre Studies and Dramatic Art at Royal Holloway College and has worked for ten years in the theatre, writing, directing and producing. Trevor is married to Jo and has four kids, nine grandchildren, and four cats. Other poetry includes KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON, and shortly a third edition of his first book, now retitled, THE PATH NOW KNOWN. Playwrighting credits includes FOUR TRUTHS (2010), a collection of four one act plays, and two single plays, GLASS and FROM PILLOW TO POST. He was reviewed in THE STAGE as follows "Trevor Maynard combines complicated thematic material and unites fractured images with a sure hand". Trevor is former executive member of the Theatre Writers' Union, the Writers' Guild of Great Britain, and is currently a member of The Poetry Society (UK).
