26 years later, still one of my favorites

I could probably recite this movie word for word, I've seen it so many times. Being that I'm (still) a huge Tupac fan, this movie is and probably always will be one of my favorites.

This movie is about Justice (Janet Jackson) opening her heart again and finding love after her boyfriend is murdered. She meets Lucky and they end up going on a road trip with her friend Lesha and Lucky's friend Chicago. There's drama, romance, comedy. I love it.

I just realized that it has been 26 years since this movie was released in theaters. It came out in July of 93, and I remember that because it debuted a few days after my 14th birthday and I couldn't wait to go see it in the theater. Haha, thinking about it makes me feel really old now.

The overall pacing and feeling of this film really accurately portrays the process of falling in love. Complete with ups and downs, will they or won't they. Most Hollywood love stories show people either diving in head first or else putting up superficial resistance and eventually succumbing. People are more complicated than that. Love is scary. People often try to protect themselves from the vulnerability of loving someone. This film gets that right.

Definitely in the top 5 "Netflix & chill" films ever made! Both of the leads are incredibly attractive as well ;)

It ain't Juice, but it's still a very likeable love story

Tupac Shakur stars as "Lucky", a young father and mail carrier who invites three friends along for an overnight delivery. Tupac is fantastic and very likeable as the films male lead, while co star Janet Jackson, although very beautiful, delivers a slightly wooden performance. Still a film with lots of heart that broke the mold for the ghetto/gangster movie genre. Also features Khandi Alexander, Joe Torry and iconic poet Maya Angelou, whose poetry is used throughout the film. Excellent performance from Regina King as well. As a Tupac fan, I really enjoyed this film. It may not be as captivating and fascinating as Tupac's portrayal of "Roland Bishop" in "Juice", but I still appreciated seeing Pac in a more positive and everyday role. Worth watching and a must have for Tupac fans.

I can recite this by every word. Back in the day we had no cable. So this movieand menace 2 society was on repeat 7day a week. One of my friends got so sick and tired of me, she said is that all you watch?? I laugh because after it all these years I still can watch this like the first time. My favorite part is the ending when songs comes on its so nostalic to me

This movie was a huge part of my childhood, as my Dad loves it and its the first movie I have memory of watching. How could you go wrong with Tupac and Janet Jackson? The only issue I have with the movie is how Tupac talks to Janet before he knows her and then when they get into arguments. But the acting is great in the movie, and there's also good use of music. Maya Angelou's poetry is phenomenal!

Not much to say. Poetic Justice is a good movie. Janet Jackson who plays Justice did a great job and the late Tupac (2Pac) Shakur play Lucky the postman did a great job too. I would say probably Poetic Justice movie came out couple of months after Janet Jackson released her 1993 CD Janet album.
