Amazing Case, but don't use the built in screen protector unless you hate yourself.

I bought the Poetic Revolution and I absolutely love the case....but I can NOT get past the DOT that comes with the built in screen protector (use the screenless version and get your own screen protector). The case itself is awesome and is very similar to the Supcase Unicorn Beatle cases I always bought for previous phones. I like that it has the top and bottom pieces that snap together; it feels incredibly secure, and I like that it has the flexible tab to block dust and pocket lint and stuff from getting into the usb C port when not in use. I wasn't sure if I should get a case with a kickstand or not (seemed cheesy), but I absolutely love it. When not in use, you wouldn't even notice it's there; as it adds absolutely no visual bulkiness. When you DO need it, it's awesome, and sits at the perfect angle in both orientations.

When it comes to the DOT, the case option that has the built in screen protector uses an adhesive ONLY in the area of the fingerprint scanner to ensure that there is always good contact and the case doesn't screw with the scanner. This however makes it so that there is a really obvious black dot in the center of the screen when it is off. When it is on, it's not AS bad, but it is still noticeable. There is an obvious more grainy circle smack dab in the middle of the screen. I thought I'd be able to get past it, but I just can't. It's driving me crazy and it's a terrible design. LUCKILY this case comes with a screenless version that you an switch to an just use a separate screen protector to avoid getting the dreaded DOT. Be careful though, I bought a tempered glass screen protector only to find it used the exact same process, and I ended up with the DOT yet again. Finally I switched to a protector on amazon from ArmorSuit that is more like a flexible TPU that uses a spray on adhesive for the entire screen that dries crystal clear, and the DOT is finally gone forever, and I can still use this otherwise awesome case. Hope that helps anyone considering a case with a built-in screen protector! Sadly, I think we just have to accept that with the change in location of the fingerprint scanner, the concept of built in screen protectors that used to be incredible, is just a thing of the past.

This review is for the Poetic Revolution Case for Google Pixel 6 Pro. I've had the phone and case for less than 24 hours. The case comes with two front pieces, one with a built-in screen protector and the other without a screen protector. The screen protector has a hole at the top for the front-facing camera. I didn't fully examine the screen protector before installing the phone in the case, but it almost seems that the screen protector consists of two layers and there's a circular cut-out in only the bottom layer for the fingerprint reader that's underneath the bottom half of the phone's screen. Or maybe there's just a different material used for the screen protector where it covers the fingerprint reader. Either way, there's a circle that's sometimes visible on the bottom half of the screen. I originally didn't think I'd use the fingerprint reader and would have preferred a screen protector without this "magic circle", even if it meant I wouldn't be able to use the fingerprint reader. But since this phone is a bit bigger than the phone it's replacing, I have found it easier to unlock the phone with my fingerprint versus swiping a pattern like I did on my old phone.

But the real reason I'm writing this review is that it seems the screen protector is just a little too loose. Every time I tap the screen, it feels like there's a gap between the screen protector and the screen underneath it. And every time I swipe on the screen, there's a slight cracking sound as if the screen protector is sticking to the screen and then, when I release my finger, unsticking from the screen.

I'm also finding that registering a tap when I'm trying to tap on something near the side edges of the screen is especially hard because of the curved screen.

I didn't spend any time using the phone before installing it into the case, and I don't have other cases to compare with. But I suspect that if the screen was just *slightly* smaller so it was constantly touching the phone's screen, some of these problems would go away.

This case is sturdy and offers great protection for your device. I have some gripes though. The main gripe is the size of the case. It adds a bit of bulk to the phone, even though it's protected, it makes holding it awkward a bit.

It doesn't come with a holster either like some of the other brands. I suggest buying another screen protector and use the case without the installed protector cause the fingerprint sensor will be more reliable, and the screen will look better.

Fantastic, sturdy and protective case. Will definitely protect your phone from drops, however, the front screen protector is easily scratched because of the softness of the protector.
The fingerprint scanner area can be a little distracting when watching stuff though but quite minimal still. Small price to pay. Cheaper than sturdy similar cases that range from £17-£25 usually.

back plate does not fit snuggley and feels loose around the phone and feels as though there is too much space with in the shell to accomodate the phone also the the rocker switches do not reach the edge of the case making them hard to press and requires the case to be squashed to reach them .

Not really sure how I feel about this. functionally it is great. The kickstand is so useful and there is lots of protection. if you're using the screenless frame, it's probably great if you want a bulky protective case. for me, I personally wanted a built-in screen protector and it's probably the best option available right now, but it really makes screen interactivity suffer. touches don't register very well and I find myself having to tap button several times before they work. Will test it for another week or so and see how I feel.
