    First product review on Amazon, frequent shopper. Product impressed enough to inspire me to review it. Had been irked by the phone and wallet conundrum for years. One of the many things I love about the Nexus 4 is NFC and Google Wallet. But the technology is still rolling out to merchants and let's face it we're all going to be carrying plastic and bills for awhile yet. It's true this case doesn't hold a ton. But it holds enough. More importantly, contrary to other reviews, NFC works fine for me through the case. I use NFC tags and Google Wallet daily and the case has been a non issue. Just hold the phone in case up to the NFC reader or tag and it just works. I'm able to get my drivers license, a credit card and a debit card in the wallet just fine. It'll also fit a few paper cards in there fine with three pieces of plastic (I've got a car insurance card and business card). It was actually liberating to pare down form a normal wallet which I thought was already down to barest essentials. I also realized I could take a photo of things like medical and dental insurance cards and just have that on my phone for reference. I like to carry some cash at all times and I leave some bills loose which stick out a little, but otherwise fit fine. The case is attractive, sturdy and well made. It's easily worth double the price or more in terms of quality, construction and durability. It's very easy to pop the phone in and out without it feeling like the phone will every pop out unintentionally or like you're gonna break it trying to remove it, which I do daily when I get home from work. I don't talk on my personal cell phone much during the day and when I have and the phone has been in the case it is a little awkward to talk on it while in the case, but doable. I just wouldn't do it all the time. That having been said, texting and emailing and calendar and everything else I use my phone for constantly throughout the day is easy to do with the phone in the case. I love this product and now only having one thing to cram in to a pocket each day. Highly recommend if you're on the fence!

    I was looking for a case for the Nexus 4, and this one fits nicely. The case is stitched together in white thread and the leather like material has a nice feel to it, the inside is lined with a soft grey material. I wanted the case mainly to protect the phone for when it gets tossed around in my work bag. It does not substitute for a wallet, but if all you need to carry is your phone, a credit card and a few dollar bills then this case will be perfect. On the inside of the cover, there are threes slots for credit cards, and behind that there is a flap for storing paper notes or dollar bills. Since the magnetic closure is not that strong, inserting anything more than one credit card and a few dollar bills inside the case will result in the case not closing properly. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quality case which will also carry a credit card and a few dollar bills.

    The make of the case is quality, however, ti does not meet it's purpose. the moment you try and even use the case as is described (meaning put a card in the wallet part) the wallet no longer closes or even looks/feels comfortable. The stitching inside will leave marks on your screen as well, and I only tried this on while in my kitchen and never took it any further than that and I was able to see marks from the stitching on my screen protector. Then when I put my I.D. and one card in it I could no longer close the case. So, it's a waste of money. The company is great and ships promptly, so I'd recommend another poetic case for your nexus, as I have one that I love that even has a custom fit to watch videos and closes securely, just no wallet options, but it is great. avoid this purchase as there are better options that do what this case actually does. NO Wallet capabilities if you want to actually close your case.

    Overall Impression:
    I am giving it 2 stars simply because this "wallet/folio" case does not function as a wallet case. If it had a stronger magnet, I would give it 5/5 stars. I paid only $4.95 for this case so I am satisfied with the case although I would definitely not purchase it if I planned on using it as a wallet. At the very minimum I expect the case to stay closed while holding 3 cards.

    UPDATE: You must DISABLE the NFC function on your phone. The phone (when in use) will attempt to scan any NFC chips that are in scanning range. Credit cards have NFC chips. Essentially, nothing will happen, but it will cause your phone to ring (the same notification sound when you share a file using NFC). This can be a potential problem for all wallet cases with NFC capable devices. If you do not use the NFC feature this is not really a con.

    Pros:
    1)The LG Nexus 4 fits perfectly in the case (fits snug and will not fall out of the case).
    2)It offers great protection (no exposed edges that may get damaged during a fall).
    3)The flap can be folded all the way back to make texting a little easier

    Cons:
    1)Putting anything more than 1 card in the wallet will cause the strap to pop open. The magnet is very weak.
    2)The wallet compartment (card slots) seems to be glued together instead of being stitched.
    3)The power button can only be pushed using the tip of your finger (not the bottom of your finger).
    4)This is not really a con but it does have a very strong odor (most of it does go away after about a week or so).
    5)(Update)You must DISABLE the NFC function on your phone to prevent it from ringing all the time when in use (if you have credit cards in your wallet case).

    Though this looks expensive from its price tag trust me you will not regret ordering this.

    Surprisingly mine was shipped from US so it took like 15 days to arrive. The quality is nice, stitches seem sturdy and overall look is sleek. Pockets are good and usable. As of now I have dropped my phone twice but the cover holds good. May be a bit bulky to carry in pocket but serves dual purpose of a wallet and case. It grabs eyeballs. People have come over and asked me if this is a new phone. The cover definitely gives a corporate look to Nexus.

    Despite reviews to the contrary, I have managed to get 2 cards into the slots without defeating the fastener that keeps it closed: its top-up card and a Nectar card. There was a problem due to clumsy gluing which prevented use of one slot until I took a letter-opener to it. I have just managed to insert a 3rd card and achieve closure. I have nothing in the document flap though.

    I punched a hole through the spine to introduce a small keyring with a swivelling snap-clip to allow hanging it on a hook by my bed and to attach it to a tether, with another keyring, in my bag.

    The cut-outs are all in the right places.

    I haven't used it much as a phone because the Nexus sound system is so inadequate that I would be unlikely to know whether anyone was phoning me unexpectedly.

    I was initially repulsed by what appeared to be a nasty religious symbol in the maker's mark but decided, after pre-purchase magnification, that it was a sword, not a cross, as in "the pen/stylus/phone/text/tweet/cartoon/poem is mightier than ...", and may be used instead of, so that was OK.

    The naked phone was too slippery and vulnerable to hold and avoid losing.

    But on getting it , I m very satisfied. I ordered 1 rock case earlier and one screen ward case for my relative phones, but they are no match to this one.
    Only issue is the price but if you want quality....go for it.
