About the Author

Elizabeth Pearson is 77 and has written poetry since her youth (over 400 in this volume). She attended Wheaton (IL) College 3 years and after working as a secretary at Sears Midwest Territorial Office in Chicago, she married and raised a family of two boys and a girl. She has five grandchildren. She returned to college after 18 years, to earn a BS in elementary education at age 42, taught for 18 years (3rd, then 2nd grade) in Elmhurst, IL for 18 years and earned her MS at Northern Illinois U. when 50. She has been active at Grace Bible Church in Elmhurst for over 65 years, serving innumerous capacities: secretary; choir, organ, piano, ladies' trio; SS. supt/teacher, reporter for church newsletters; youth clubs; drama team; VBS, bulletin boards; president of women's missionary group; Community Impact Committee. Likes to read, write, golf and bowl. Has had over 150 "Letters to Editors" in print, a dozenin The Chicago Tribune in 2004. She writes to proclaim her faith in Jesus Christ and to invite others to "ponder" the truth of the Scriptures and the promises He makes to all who will live for Him.
