Some characters, it is not easy to follow the directions, I have to spend time to help him understand.
Some characters require you to cut into the paper, like Pikachu, if you didn't pay attention, you will end up ruin your origami.
I ended up had to tape the cut off pieces together and went through it my kid.
So the book might be challenge for some younger kids and even adults.
And it is almost a must that it requires parent's participation.
However, it is a good bonding time between me and my kid and I really believe it will be a good boding time for you and your kid as well.
You're going to need scissors, tape, and glue for some/most of the projects.
Tried Pikachu, couldn't make sense of the the instructions halfway through.
Tried Munchlax, finished him but apparently they printed the starting mark on the wrong part of the page, so the end result was completely off even if in the right shape.
Do not buy.

Not for kids! Very difficult to figure out. Dissatisfied and would have cost me $5 to return. Pikachu is the easiest one (picture for example) and my 7&9 year old couldn't do it.Published 1 day ago by Jennifer Rentschler
Super cute but not for kids. 9 year old struggled so mom tried with no luck and dad got frustrated as well. 38 steps is too many for elementary kids. Read morePublished 22 days ago by Audrey
This is so cute
It came just in time before Christmas. I got them for my nephews. They like Pokémon and origami.
My son spent $14 on this at Michael's. The directions for Snively and Mudkip are not complete - for both of them, steps 1-7 are MISSING. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Rubber Biscuit
