Enjoy authentic arcade action at home! Designed by HORI, the same designers of the official Pokken Tournament arcade cabinet controller, the Pokken Tournament Pro Pad is a limited edition controller design exclusively for use with Pokken Tournament for the Wii U. This wired USB pad is ergonomic, comfortable, responsive and super effective for controlling your favorite Pokemon in Pokken Tournament battles. USB wired (9.8ft) connection is tournament legal. Note that due to software design, Player One must always use the Wii U GamePad for local battles. Controller is only compatible with Pokken Tournament for Wii U and will not function properly with other game titles. NOTE: Please press “Start” on the Pokken Pro Pad at main title screen to activate as main controller.

I have two Xbox 360 controllers but the D-pad on them just doesn't give the same precise movement that these do, which really helps for fighting games and competitive action games (Contra/Final Fight/Mario, etc.). Also, the larger buttons make it super easy to just bash away with no worries about which button you're hitting.
If there is one strange thing about these controls it is the four buttons in the middle, so I'm constantly having to retrain myself that the buttons immediately to the left of the four main buttons are not Select/Start as they are further to the left. Still, amazing deal! Don't think too much and miss out on these...for ~$15.00 it's a no-brainer buy!
I haven't tried that, but it works as a Plug And Play device on PC and works famously on emulators.
The thing is super well built, fits my hands very well (A lot like a pre-Dual Shock PSX controller but it fits the hands better.)
Great face buttons and shoulder buttons. I love the D-pad as well, personally, but I understand this is the most subjective part of any gamepad and there's a good chance it won't be everyone's favorite.
The thing is solid as heck. Good texture, good feel, good everything. I can't find anything to complain about, and I am someone who usually finds *something*.
This controller has a lot of positives going for it. It feels more durable and responsive than a lot of the sub-$15 controllers floating around online (though some of those work fine, too). It has a Playstation-style grip handles that may be preferable for some with larger hands. The face button layout is similar to a SNES controller, and the D-pad feels great. There are two very large shoulder buttons that are impossible to miss. Best of all, it has a 10 foot cable, which is about 4-5 feet more than you get with most other wired controllers. So you get minimal latency (or connectivity problems) but enough range not to have to sit on top of your 50" flatscreen.
I would say that the feel of the controller takes a little getting used to, and may not be for everyone. The handles are bulky to the point that they sort of force your hands outward, so you are pressing the buttons at a slight angle compared to a traditional NES/SNES controller. And the Start/Select buttons are small and in a different place than you'd expect. But these are relatively minor gripes, and it's an excellent general purpose controller for retro gaming.
Oh, I don't have the WiiU. I just read to many good comments on this controller that I had to try it for myself on my emulator baby.
The only thing I hate is getting used to the lack of analog sticks. I always reach for them, but that's more of a personal issue. Not the controller's issue.
Overall, it's a great controller - Big red flag, other sellers are sadly trying to take advantage of the fans out there. I repeat, this has a retail price of $25. No more. So remain patient until more are in stock via Amazon.
