In terms of size: I usually wear size 10 (sometimes fit a little smaller, all depends on shoe), and I ordered size 10 for these. A bit roomy but I'm satisfied, never thought of changing the size. So I can suggest go with your usual size.
The arch support might be not the best, but these are rubber boots and the support that they have is good for rubber boots level. There is a small heel but it feels very natural in terms of height.
I got the navy color and it fits jeans perfectly. They might be not the most pretty rain boots but they do their job well and finally my feet were dry when walking in the rain. Fully satisfied.
They're okay to wear in terms of foot comfort, they are not the most comfy, but they're fine considering I don't wear rain boots often.
The opening was loose enough that I figured it would be okay to go without tights or leggings - I was wrong. The top of the boots rubbed against my calves and I didn't feel it on my mile-plus walk to work, I got to work and had big, gaping wounds on both legs. I religiously cleaned with peroxide and applied antibiotic ointment for over a month - it's been about 5 months and I still have scars on both legs, that is how big these wounds were.
Seriously, someone could make a killing making affordable rain boots for larger calves that don't get holes after a handful of wears.
