Very nice tool for real estate shoots. Less to carry on the job because you can leave the DSLR at home Tripp’s mount is awesome! Also you can use both aerial and ground footage and get the same color grading less post processing!

So far I really like this thing. And the box it came in was absolutely beautiful lol. It feels nice and sturdy and holds the drone securely. I was worried about it being cheaply made. If it was cheap plastic or loosely fitting, I definitely would have sent it back rather than risk dropping a $1600 drone.
It is comfortable to hold, but not easy to control the gimbal... unless you have huge hands like me you might have a hard time.
Other than that though I have no real complaints. It can be a bit tedious to setup, but if you need good shots indoors or in NFZ's and you don't have a $2000 handheld camera, it is totally worth the effort.

I just picked up my Katana today and was was trying to put it together when I realised it was not fitting correctly on my drone and I noticed a bulge where it is supposed to sit on my drone... I am going to return this product

the product itself is good, that's a good point. but the time to set up the whole thing is too long and think that you walk with all the gear, Drone, RC, and your phone on top. if you want something more efficient you might want to buy an Osmo Mobile 3 or something like this to $50 more than using a $1500 drone and risking to break it. you will save time for the setup and money. you can't really control the camera of the drone, (only the tilt) but obviously who needs the tilt when your camera is at the high of your chest?.

Fantastic build quality on a very functional and useful accessory device. This makes it feasible to use the drone as either a B or even A cinema rig.

It works as advertised...but also has that weird issue in the center connection for the control holder. It looks as if the screw is pressing down through the plastic handle.
Having said that though, it works well.

The mount is great! The controller mount is annoying, awkward, impossible to lock down securely and takes too long to put together well. Almost there but not quite.
Still better than most options.

Worked with some modifications
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 14, 2019Verified Purchase
Would be better if it had brackets for DJI smart controller, had to adapt it to use it. Worked in the end. Only downside if you want to put camera/drone down you have to put upside down. If you put flat normally gimbal will touch surface of whatever you put down on to. Would be nice if it had some extensions to protect balancing. So it wont fall on gimbal but more to back part of the drone.

Not as good as it looks like (the product idea)
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 10, 2019Verified Purchase
Good idea but I found it let's say useless with the drone. Heavy and big to hold them together. The mount for the controller is so stiff and easy to scratch the controller with it.
Great idea but more idealistic than it looks like.
