Polaris - Plastic Cleaning Head Removal Tool
Top customer reviews

Surprisingly strong for being made of plastic. Loaned mine to someone who broke and replaced it. When he showed me what broke, he showed me that the part that goes into the handle is the place that it broke. I figured that if it broke it would be the parts that go into the popups that would break. Kind of pricey for a plastic tool.

This tool is my second one as the original failed I believe due to exposure to the Arozona sun. This is the con on being made of plastic. That is the trade off on buying an expensive metal tool or this one! I'll be more careful about leaving it exposed to the sun. It does the job of removing the pop-ups just fine.

Very handy tool, easy to use and the pop up heads stay in place after twisting them in. My pool guy doesn't have one because he thinks they're worthless and break all the time, so he wasn't able to screw the pop up heads on for me. So I have my own now and glad I got it. Has been durable so far.

This tool does the job well. But it is plastic and it breaks easily, as did mine. It was good for one summer. What's tough about this is that it cost about $28 locally and on the net you can get a better price but freight will bring the price up to over $20. When you look at it, it is really hard to believe it costs that much, A real rip off. The metal version runs $60-70- ok for a professional but not a regular homeowner as I am. Ok and one other thing- the lifetime warranty on parts is only good for the original buyer of the pool so if you purchased you home, like me, you are SOL! The heads cost $80 to $100 each- I have 13 or so. And I have had new ones that did not last 2 summers.
