A Polaroid Guy in a Snapchat World Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

Debuted and currently #4 on the New York Times audio bestseller list!

Fifty-something David Spade is letting it all hang out. Older (yes), wiser (debatable), in A Polaroid Guy in a Snapchat World, the actor, comedian, and SNL alum reflects on his life then and now through a series of candid and hysterical (and occasionally cringe-worthy) takes on everything from why it’s getting harder to date younger women, to what it’s like being a dad now, to suddenly being the “old guy” on set.

Whether he’s musing on the alarming ease of breaking up over text (he’s done it), feuding with a teenage Internet celebrity (spoiler alert, he lost), or dealing with the friend from high school who became his full-time plus-one, when the star of Joe Dirt and Just Shoot Me unleashes his biting wit and dirty mind on the general freakiness of middle-age, he’s in a league of his own (not to be confused with A League of Their Own).

Written and performed for the Audible experience, Spade’s new comic memoir takes listeners along for the sometimes embarrassing and always hilarious ride of getting older in our fleeting “Snapchat World”.

David Spade does not hold back in this audio book. There is one chapter that is very graphic about sexual topics. I think he is going for some shock value (which he doesn't need...funny enough the way it is), but be warned. Overall, the rest of the book is full of stories most of us can relate to growing up in the USA during the time period he talks about-

I enjoyed having the audio format because I was able to listen to the book while going on short trips. Just be warned again.. if you travel with the case in your visor, it will fly down and hit you in the head. Thanks, David. I enjoy getting hit in the head occasionally with a hard plastic case.

I’ve really enjoyed this audiobook. It’s pretty hilarious and sometimes raw. I think you get to see a different side of David Spade. It’s a little of what you’d expect but full of completely unexpected revelations as well.

49 year old male here. This comes on a MP3 CD that plays in your DVD or Blu Ray player in audio mode. If you enjoy Tommy Boy (1995) or Rules of Engagement (something I've owned complete on DVD - twice - so I might be a little partial) - you'll like this humor. WARNING: had to dock one star because the version I got did not label the chapters so it's hard to find your way back to the spot you were at. Hopefully a new version will correct this.

So great. I don’t have a audible account and was hoping for a good quality CD version. I am so pleased. Easy categories so you know where you left off, great sound and quality. It’s funny and a good time. Worth every penny for a David Spade fan. Would recommend and use seller again
