Great thermometer for deep frying and simmering stock but after 2 years- the temperatures have came off (even with hand washing only).
The clip on back is handy to keep in place and the plastic top never gets too hot too touch. But the glare of the metal on the thermometer on my stovetop (LED directly overhead) - makes it hard to read at times.
Since this is something I use fairly often in my kitchen, I may replace for something similar in another brand at a different price point

I bought this for my wife who likes baking and deep frying. She found that most recipes didn't work even though she was using the right temperature according to this thermometer. She suspected that it was not displaying the right temperature. I tested it with boiling water, which should be 100C - the thermometer never got over 66C. I am disappointed with this purchase.

I gave this product a 2-star rating solely because of how quickly the seller resolved my issue with a refund. As many other reviews for this product state the red measuring fluid is fragmented. The product arrived this way. Attempts to re-unite the fluid failed. I’ve never seen a thermometer do this and I’ve used a lot of thermometers. I believe this is a defective issue that should be addressed by the manufacturer.
