This wireless unit sets up slickly with a Polk Wireless Ready Subwoofer but unfortunately proved to be too buggy to keep. The wireless would cut out 2 - 3 times an hour and would produce weird sounds through my subwoofer if there was no sound going to it. The subwoofer was 25' away. Bad QC or just a bad product.

This seems to be working fine with my Polk sub and Yamaha receiver. I use it close to the transmitter because I just needed to move the sub to a different part of the room, less than 6 feet away. The only problem is that when you are using this kit the sub nor the transmitter will ever turn off. My sub has an auto on setting where it turns on when it detects a signal but with this thing attached it doesn't turn off ever, so I have to turn it off manually or leave it on constantly. The transmitter part also never turns off, and the blue light is super bright and so a little bit annoying. Definitely need to cover up the blue light if it's anywhere visible, especially with the lights turned down.

The Polk wireless kit works as advertised for us.

We have the sub in the middle of the room, about 20' from our receiver.

I read some reviews about interference from other wireless devices / networks. We have a dual (2.4 & 5) WIFI network, an AT&T cell phone, a Verizon cell phone, a Quest land line and 2 cordless phones, and a Comcast land line and two cordless phones. We have not experienced any interference issues.

The only issue we've found is; we have the sub set up to sense a sound signal and automatically turn on & off. The on part works well. The off occurs at variable times after the sound system has been turned off, and has a electrical pop sound when it turns off. Not a big deal, but surprising sometimes.

I bought DSW pro660wi and needed it to be wireless. sub would turn it self on and make low rumbling sounds every once in awhile. the wireless kit PWSK1 died on me . polk audio still has the subs available but stop making the wireless kit. Was great for the short time it worked. besides the noise it made! I think one store online has a new one for $119.00 . I think I'll opt for a wire. . just a pain to run and snake the wire.

Great product but it interfered really badly with my home WiFi system, causing dropouts on all of the repeaters, and made the Sonos mesh network completely unusable. I had to turn it off permanently and am now looking for an alternative. Probably fine if you have a simple network with little traffic in the 2.4GHz range, but if you do notice problems switch it off and see if they go away.

It works perfectly. I have my sub in a corner behind a large chair. I also have 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless network. Neither of them cause any issue with the sub woofer's wireless connection.
