Once again, I highly recommend the Bird Brain series of books to both younger readers and parents. My son, who is going on 9 months old, enjoys these books very much. He loves the illustrations and babbles along while I read them to him. It's pretty adorable.
Everyone should read Polly Wants to be a Pirate. It's cute, filled with colorful pictures, and just goes to show how awesome using your imagination can be. 5 stars!
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I understand that I am receiving a copy of this book for a VOLUNTARY, completely honest, and non-incentivized review
My copy came from the author. I am leaving a review of my own free volition. My thoughts and opinions are my own.
As you can see, I don’t edit what my grandchildren dictate. While her sentence structure and thoughts are a work in progress, Alexis certainly knows when she likes a story and what she likes about it. Reading Emlyn Chand’s Bird Brain Books are a real treat with the kids. Besides the adventures the characters get up to, the illustrations by Noelle Giffen are well done and entertaining. The stories are quick and manage to keep the attention of the younger reader. I would recommend this book for story time for the younger child and have found it’s great to have the middle grade child read them aloud to their younger sibling.
We were gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
