I'm starting to play D&D (as the DM), and these are my first dice. They're pretty basic, and I'm sure they're not the best dice available, but for $6 they're perfect. They catch the light and "glow" in a way (look at the customer images to see it).

I ordered the teal color, and they look more greenish than in the picture. The picture looks to me like a sort of ice blue color, but they really just look teal-colored. This color looks quite nice too, but it's just not exactly what's shown.

The email I received for this asked if these dice met my needs. I really don't see how they couldn't. I needed a set of dice so I bought the cheapest I could find. I don't understand why you would need an expensive kind, but maybe you're into that. If you are picky about dice these are not the dice for you. There is nothing special about these dice. I guess the only problem I would have with dice is if maybe they were made of paper. Even paper would work for a while unless you burned it or dropped it in water and it got all soggy. I just tried dropping these dice in water and they worked fine afterwards. I suspect if I burned them, they would get a burn mark and make it harder to use. If someone wants to see if burning them causes a problem, then they can risk their own six bucks. Let me know how it turned out.
Apparently 5 stars means "I love it." I don't really love them. I find it hard to love inanimate objects. These simply met my low standards, and I found nothing deficient. If you're into loving inanimate objects and have low standards, this might be the product for you. If you just need dice, this is the product for you. If you prefer to spend your money on expensive dice instead of more important things (e.g. food, gas, family, bills, student loans, water, immigration papers to escape Trump, a pair of those scissors used to cut pizza), then these are not the dice for you.

The following review will be the same for all the differing colors of ChesseX Polyhedral 7-Die Translucent Dice Set.

ChesseX offers eleven (11) different colors of 7-die Polyhedral sets, one of the best selections of gamer dice offered and excellent for each player to have their own distinctive set. I prefer the green, but have a blue set as well. But with so many choices it is easy to pick your favorite or an easy compromise.

I prefer the translucent to solid color die mainly because there is something bout the slightly luminous background of the translucent plastic that sets off the black numbers better, making them easier to read and providing a more pleasant gaming experience.

Accuracy on random number generation is important. I got my undergraduate statistics students to test the ChesseX die with 1,000 throws, and the quality report came back: EXCELLENT. These are die that throw random numbers from their possibility set.

The slightly rounded edges make for clean throws and firm resting stops, although the inherent composition of the plastic makes them bounce pretty easily off a Formica table. These die work better on cloth surfaces.

The color is VERY much like what I see on my screen! They look amazing in the light, especially.. *gasp* the sunlight.
Very unique color - no one else had anything like them. ;)
The white numbers stand out very well, and the edges are quite nice.

Just got this dice set along with a purple set.

I must say I like them, they look nice as the translucent material catches shows enough light and background to be noticeable but doesn't make reading the values hard. Exactly what I wanted.

I must say the teal set is not as blue as it looks, it's a bit closer to green. Sure, that's teal for you but the picture is a bit misleading as I bought it based on that. Still close enough for what I wanted and it does its job like any other color, I'm just warning anyone looking for that exact shade of blue.

I also have to say there are some paint smudges. I'm guessing this has something to do with the material as I have a speckled Ninja set from the same brand and they are perfect. Maybe a bad batch or the ink didn't adhere so well and one of the dice smudged another. I'm pretty sure over time the smudges will come off and they aren't set into the dice like the numbers are. The same thing is true for the purple set so I guess it's not specific to the color but maybe it has something to do with the material.

Overall I'm pretty happy and they got here a week before the ETA so I'll be buying from with this supplier again if I need to.

I'm actually a little disappointed in my purchase. I have bought several dice set from Chessex and they all came out really well. I was buying this set for a friend for D&D and 3 out of 7 had several imperfections from inconsistent paint, to the d20 be filled with air bubbles and smudging on the d100 and d20. The d4, d6, d8 and d10 have sufficiently sharp corners, the dice feel well made. The color is a beautiful blue with a nice white number to contrast the clear background.

While the color of these is quite gorgeous, the paint isn't terribly well done. Many of the numbers have too much or too little paint. There are also a couple of corners on a couple of the dice that have white paint in places that there shouldn't be any paint. I'd return them, but I ordered them to get free shipping from amazon and my order only cost $1 more than it would have with shipping. So I'm not bothered.

Also, my d20 consistently rolls really low. I've been keeping track of the rolls on it for quite awhile and it consistently rolls low (1, 3, & 4) and rarely rolls 13-17 or 19.
