These tomatoes are perfect to use for tomato sauce. Each box in the four-pack contains 3 cups of tomatoes. However, do note that these are the “finely chopped” tomatoes whereas the nutrition facts label shown in the Amazon product image is for the regular “chopped” tomatoes! For the finely chopped, each 1/4 cup serving contains 20 calories, which is different than the label shown in the Amazon product image.

These are not exactly chopped; they’re more liked crushed. But it doesn’t matter really. They’re delicious with a fresh tomato flavor and a wonderful texture that makes incredible sauces. They’re expensive but I think they’re worth it.

They stopped carrying them and now I have to order them because I’m addicted. Better than San Marzanos. I make sauce that is just these with salt, hardly needs anything else.

It’s basically (mildly chunky- mostly smooth) tomato sauce! I love that it’s a whole food with no preservatives/additives! Just add your own seasonings and cook on the stove! It’s perfect! I use to oven roast tomatoes and then put them in a food processor, but I am happy to pay for this convenience. It’s a quick sauce and the cartons have kept well in the fridge so far. I assume they will last longer than raw tomatoes would.
