..".The book and its companion website are a welcome addition to Pompeian studies and will appeal to Roman archaeologists, students of classical antiquity, architectural historians, as well as the more curious tourist interested in having professional photographs of Pompeii's urban landscape." --Matthew Selheimer, University of Leicester, Bryn Mawr Classical Review, 2018.04.03
About the Author
Jennifer Stephens and Arthur Stephens are archaeological photographers. They record archaeological sites, excavations, post-excavation activities, artifacts, and historical documents for archaeologists and archaeological projects in Italy and Greece. In addition, Jennifer edits and creates images for publications and exhibitions and Arthur provides plans and diagrams. They have developed their own equipment and techniques to accurately record historical standing structures in a nondestructive manner and have worked as a team to create the photomosaics and supporting materials in this book. Their photomosaics and photographs have been included in archaeological books and monographs; academic papers and journals such as Hesperia, The New Griffon and The Sarawak Museum Journal; museum catalogues; and periodicals including Archaeology Magazine, Current World Archaeology, World Monuments ICON, Smithsonian Magazine and The New York Times. Their work has been displayed in conjunction with exhibits at museums across the world.
