Got rid of impossible dry skin!

This is a big ol' jar of skin cream! I live in a very windy place in Alaska and my face suffers for it in the winters. I didn't think I would ever get rid of the rough skin between my eyebrows and on my cheeks. After two nights of applying this after the shower, it is gone! Now, I am not in love with the smell of this, it is a little elderly, if you ask me. Additionally, I would not be able to apply this in the morning as it takes a long time to really soak in. Putting it on after a shower every night has left me with very smooth skin!

This is a go to moisturizer for me, especially for the colder months (ie. fall and winter and going into spring). I find that it does a great job with moisturizing and if you don't use too much then it won't give you an oily residue. The way I use it is in the morning after a vitamin C serum and at night mixed in with two drops of Bio-Oil (for my acne scars). I use about twice the amount at night (a quarter sized amount) than I do in the morning just because I don't want to look oily throughout the day but I don't care at night.

I recommend this to anyone and am sure it would work for most skin types, except those with really oily skin. I would use this at night all year long but definitely not during the day in hotter months. Overall it's a great drugstore brand at a great value and it's great.

I'll always be up for trying new face moisturizers, especially if they come with extra ingredients to feed my skin with nutrients. And I'm well aware that this Ponds cream is simple moisturizer... however, in 10 years, this is has been the only product that keeps my skin hydrated the entire day, and doesn't leave me overly (keyword) greasy.

If it comes down to it, given that I have dry skin, I'd rather be a little over hydrated than suffer eczema/hives from dry skin. I have no hesitation giving this product 5 stars because I know it'll always be consistent. My trick is to apply it right after washing my face or showering when there is a lot of moisture already in my skin. Plus it's cheap! Give it a shot!

I have a ridiculous patch of dry skin that starts on one cheek, goes over my nose and between my eyebrows, only to land on the other cheek. It makes putting foundation and other beauty products on my face awful, because my skin will always be flaky and patchy in those areas. I have tried SO many moisturizers and none of them have hydrated like Ponds has. My routine now is scrubbing my face, patting it almosy dry and applying Ponds generously, focusing on my problem areas the most. It works wonders and there's little to no patchiness when I apply make-up now.

This is the most amazing skin cream I've ever had in my life.
I purchased this at the end of July, early August....and I still have about half a jar left. I use this product EVERY day, each morning as I get ready. I also use it every time I get out of the shower. My face has REALLY dry skin, and I was embarrassed forever about the way my skin would peel and flake. It was so gross and unattractive! I had tried moisturizers, exfoliators, etc, and nothing worked. But Ponds did the trick immediately! I'm so thrilled, because my skin problem is GONE.
Plus, I accidentally left it at my boyfriend's house and wasn't able to get it for three-four days. My complexion, which had been clear, got pimples during that time! So not only does Ponds moisturize my face, it keeps the pimples away too!
I can't recommend this product enough. It's the best face skin cream I have ever had in my life.

It Feels So Good When Your Skin Is Dry And It Smells Comforting

It feels good and it smells good. I'm 72 and I've been doing the "natural" and "organic" thing for quite some time now. I've been using Emu oil and Jojoba oil on my face and it's really worked well. Recently my face has been feeling itchy some times though. Nothing wrong...just dry winter heat I think. The other night I was shopping on Amazon and the skin around my eyebrows starting itching. I grabbed the Emu oil and put a little on. It helped but still didn't feel the way I wanted it to. All of a sudden I remembered the smell of Ponds and put a jar in my shopping cart on a whim. I'm glad I did. It feels so good on your face when it's dry. I'll still use Emu oil during the day but I'm using this at night when I go to bed for added moisturizing and because the smell is comforting.

Over many many years of experimenting with other face creams and expensive lotions, I always return to good, old Pond's dry skin cream. My face loves it, it has never caused an allergic reaction, and it feels rich and smooth on my face. And to top off all the good effects, the price cannot be beat - after spending $60 on some other face emollients and having them dry out on my face within hours, I rely on Pond's to keep my face happy.

Lightweight and very moisterizering

My grandma only used ponds cold cream. I don't think there was a separate moisterizer at that time. I have very dry sensitive skin. Pretty much everything irritates and turns my face red. I used pretty much every department store including channel. Always ended up returning whole line I bought. Usually took over week for a reaction. That's why I waited to review. Took a chance on this. If I didn't like I'd return. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a lightweight very moisterizering cream. Very slight clean scent. I've been using sometimes 3x a day it's that light. Use on my neck and even cuticles. I could've saved so much money all these years. Some people like myself can't use the all natural stuff. I'm allergic to the all natural ingredients. Mineral oil to my knowledge isnt exactly the same as gasoline byproducts. Correct me if I'm wrong. People i know swear by Vaseline petroleum jelly. Anyway I'm really happy with this vat of face cream and will continue to use. Fyi, I wouldn't recommend this cream to anyone without really dry skin. It would be too heavy. That's why it says dry skin cream. I wouldn't give a bad review because I bought the wrong cream. Seems ponds has line for all skin types.
