I should leave two stars since my 2 year old wants me to read this about 50 times a day, lol. But nonetheless, it's a hilarious book. I read all the parts and then stop for the "Poo Bum" parts and the "Fart" at the end, which she reads (yells). It's so cute. I plan on ordering the rest of the books in this series.

If you have sensitive ears, then I don't recommend the book. However, it's a cute and silly story about a rabbit who only replies with the words "Poo Bum" until the very end, where he says "Fart". It makes my 4 year old chuckle, and gives a chance to talk about when it's okay to use silly words.

An adorable, precocious little bunny always responds with the same two words.... POO BUM! Only these two words ever come out of his mouth. How very strange!

When his mother tells him it's time to get up, he replies,"Poo Bum!" At lunchtime when his dad encourages him to eat his spinach salad, he replies, "Poo Bum!" He even answers his sister, "Poo Bum!" when she entices him to have a lovely bath.

Then one day, into the story strolls a wolf. He asks little bunny, "May I eat you, my little rabbit?" Can you guess what little rabbit replies? "Poo Bum!" The wolf then eats him up. Oh my! Can little rabbit be rescued from the wolf's tummy and if he is saved will he only be able to utter those two words forever?

This hilarious, silly book will tickle any child's funny bone. Kids love anything to do with body functions and they will giggle and laugh as the pages are turned. The author has saved a HUGE booming surprise for the very last page!

The illustrations are colourful, bold and simple. The repetitive words "Poo Bum!" will have kids engaged and participating with the text. They will want to go back again and again to enjoy this irreverent book of toilet humour. The book is so fun and I highly recommend it.

Knowing that she likes the Netflix Simon series, her aunt sent this to my 3yo for Christmas. Well first of all, this is not a Simon book at all, the book has exactly nothing in common with Simon's soft-spoken and gently coloured universe. I understand the author is the same, however, using the name Simon in such opposite series is extremely confusing and misleading really. Seconds: I feel this book might work with very young toddlers, my 3 year old however was not amused, actually isn't interested in this book in the slightest (and she usually 'likes' books). My 7yo has been amused by the whole Poobum gimmick for about 5 seconds, while my 10yo avid reader looked at the bunch of us reading this as if we collectively lost our mind. Don't think this will come of the shelf ever again.

Who will like Poo Bum? If your child — or you — think fart jokes are hilarious, then this book is perfect. More serious children and adults will probably find Poo Bum predictable and off-putting. Which is too bad, as author Stéphanie Blake’s illustrations are quite clever in a Matt Groening kind of way.

Oh Lordy, this Grammy just might be in trouble. I read bedtime stories to my two youngest grandchildren (aged 6 and 4), via FaceTime. As they live in Germany and I am in England it is a way to keep a lovely connection between us, as well as encouraging their use of the English language.

Yikes. They loved this book! I mean LOVED it. Unfortunately, the majority of their spoken English now consists of Poo Bum, with the word fart and thrown in to mix things up once in a while.

I may have to revert to Beatrix Potter for a while ... although I will definitely be buying another copy of Poo Bum for my English grandtwins!
