I used to play Yoshi's Island on my Game Boy Advance and I loved it so much and this game really brings back all those good memories. The levels and puzzles are very creative and fun. The knitted-looking scenery is amazingly detailed. The gameplay can be changed from easy to more challenging depending on what suits you. Each level where you collect all of the yarn pieces gets you a new Yoshi that you can play as so that is a neat feature.
It's just a really fun game and I really don't have any complaints about it.

(Though every time I get hit by a bad guy I keep thinking baby Mario has fallen off my back and I need to retrieve him. Then I remember I'm not playing Yoshi's island. Haha)

Great little platform game. I missed out on the Wii U version, so thought I should definitely grab the 3DS release. Graphics are gorgeous, possibly my favorite on the 3DS. They're so good that it almost makes me want to grab the Wii U version to see how they'd look on an HD screen. The core of the game, the gameplay, is incredibly fun. Levels are well designed, movement is very fluid, and Nintendo changes up the levels enough that you're constantly doing something new. There's also a ton of collectibles in each stage. Amiibo support is fun, I've been playing with my Mega Man Yoshi for most of the game. Overall, I'm about a third of the way through the game, and seems like it'll be a good 25-30 hours of game, likely a bit more when accounting for finding secrets on all the stages. Highly recommend if you're a fan of previous Yoshi's Island games, though this one is likely the best one since the SNES release.

An amazing 3DS port of an already amazing Wii U game! The adding of Poochy mini-games wasn't really necessary, but the more the merrier! The yarn component and keeping with this theme throughout the game is really cute, and the replayability is very high. This game reminded me a lot of "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island," which is also a fantastic game. I do wish there were 8 worlds instead of 6, but the amount of collectables throughout the game makes it lengthy enough to get some bang for your buck. One of my absolute favorite aspects of the this game is the soundtrack. The music is just SO GOOD. It very much relates to video game music lovers as well as the everyday music lover. The music is catchy and continues to fit very well with the themes of the game. Absolutely recommended!

I got this for my son who really wanted to buy a WiiU just for this game, alone, but already owned a Nintendo 3DS. Don't wait to buy it for a special occasion, it is that great of a game to buy right now! This game offers many, many levels, tons of characters to play with even an area to create your own. My son is 9 yrs old and loves to play games, but is very particular about what he finds amusing - and this game hits it out of the park for him. Now, I have started to play my own world (you can have up to three unique players) and we are fighting over who gets to play next. Get it! Get it now!

i love the yoshi woolly world. i have it on the wii u and now on the 3ds. you can use poochies as constant eggs which is nice if you are just playing to have fun. i already beat the game so it makes it more fun since i am just playing to enjoy it.

i hope they put this on the switch
