Bought this 4 years ago for our above ground pool. The basketball backboard is. Still in great shape. We had to replace the ball after 2 years because it got warped in the son. The net lasted 4 years. The poles are still attached to our deck and holding strong. The volleyball was one of the first items to stop working. Instead of buying another volleyball, we bought a 12 pack of 12 inch size beach balls. We chose the emoji style and batting the beach balls back and forth over the net is one of our favorite pool activities.

Go over, obviously do not think it can handle a Michael Jordan dunk contest. Now about the volley ball net. The volley ball net is not easy to remove if you want to take it on and off according to how the instruction tell you to assemble. So you will have to modify this a bit . I attached the video of what I did to make this simple to take off.

I can not describe how cheap this product is, and have only give it 1 star as the lowest possible score. The net is incredibly cheap, when it breaks and its only a matter of time, I can re-use the material that makes the net as sewing thread. The "rope" tie strings on the bottom and top of the netting material are also incredibly cheap, thin, and almost utterly useless. The blue plastic bases are barely adequate to hold up the net, but do not offer enough weight when filled with water to stay standing. A few times in the first game we played in the pool (yes, with teenagers) were knocked over by tension on the net from over zealous spike attempts... so plan on setting them up a few times during a game. If this set had cost $20 I figure it would have been "you get what you pay for", but seriously $70+ I would have expected something more than $.50 worth of plastic and $2.00 worth of thread thin material that makes up the net. I expect it to last a few weeks before the whole set is in the garbage. I would NEVER buy this again and wish I hadn't in the first place.

I purchased this net after seeing the pictures. With poles that extend, I could use it in my L shaped pool to divide the shallow end---one pole extended and placed literally in the water as close to the deep end as possible and the other pole on land. NOPE! The poles don't extend! The pictures for this product should be changed, as they are just a big LIE. How do you post a picture like that of a product and it be completely WRONG??? I'm terribly disappointed. My son was able to make it work so I probably won't return it. The side that I was going to extend and sink in the water, he has floating. He just left the base empty and of course it floats. Not a bad idea, but we have it tied to a rock so it won't keep moving while we are playing. Not crazy about the rock. Trying to come up with another solution to keep it from floating away.

Far superior to the other items on here,
the weighted base is still a bit small, but held water well and didn't leak. I ended up taking the net off and using eye bolts and some springs to set up a mounting system directly between the bars on my pool fence, even with a very large pool the strings on here were plenty long to reach, nearly 50 feet. The net has been holding up well halfway through an arizona summer. The included ball lasted a few weeks, it was cheap plastic, so plan on buying a better quality one.

Don't be tempted to save $10 to buy a cheaper volleyball set , it is junk.

Bought this product for my kids to use in the lake near our campsite. All I can say is be careful when you put it together! Once the PVC pieces are together and you have set the screws, they are NOT coming apart again. That will be very frustrating if you find out after the fact that you switched up one of the 14" pieces with one of the 13" pieces (neither of which are labeled and apart from the length are virtually indistinguishable). So as far as ease of construction is concerned, I give this a 2/5 given that the instructions are terrible and there is little room for backtracking if you make even a single mistake. My recommendation is to dry build the net as much as possible without setting the screws. Otherwise you might find yourself in my situation and having to perform some hacksaw modifications to get everything to fit right.

From a build quality standpoint, I give this product a 1 out of 5. The PVC components are flimsy and can break when force is applied to disconnect the pieces. The net itself is just awful. Could it be more chintzy? Its like having Charlotte's web string between two sticks. Fine for kids up to age 6 or 7. But once the kids are big enough to hit the ball with any force into the net, I see the net breaking in short order.

Useability - 4/5. I have a pretty unusual application for this product, in that I bought it knowing that I would have to haul it to and from my camper to the lake (some 250 yards away) each time my kids want to use it. That is a pain, as the net is fairly big and floppy. Once I have it on the beach though it is wicked easy to set up and the kids have a lot of fun with it. If you have a pool or can store the net near your body o water du jour, I'm sure you will find it very easy to set up and use.

Overal - 2/5. The build quality and instructions are just too poor to forgive. If you have any handyman skills, I suggest that you go to the local hardware store and build your own floating net. This product seems to be one of the few that are on the market, and it just isn't that good.

This volleyball net was a great addition to our in ground pool. Perfect height and width. The net is not super solid so we have to be careful not to grab the black net. It’s better to fill the bases with sand and a bit of water, than water alone. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase.
