I like writing words accompanied by pictures, both on the page and on the stage. I love seeing and hearing the stuff I write said by actors, sung to music, or next to eye-catching illustrations that tell their own story.
My plays include adaptations of Frankenstein and Kafka's "The Metamorphosis" (called Dancing on the Ceiling), and crowd-pleasing comedies for the Reduced Shakespeare Company, including The Complete History of America (abridged), The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged), All the Great Books (abridged), Completely Hollywood (abridged), The Complete History of Comedy (abridged), The Complete World of Sports (abridged), The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged), William Shakespeare's Long Lost First Play (abridged), and The Comedy of Hamlet! (a prequel).
I wrote Daisy, the Littlest Zombie (illustrated by Gary Andrews) inspired by own dark and adorable daughter, and co-wrote Pop-Up Shakespeare with Reed Martin and illustrations by Jennie Maizels.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2019So much fun and blurb-level informative. I love that it feels like I keep discovering something new each time I open it. The font is tiny and a little hard to read for kids, but I bought it for me, so I don't care as much.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2018My 10 year old has been asking to learn about Shakespeare so i ordered this book. Her excitement about the book has matched my own. It is a pop-up book, but the exciting thing is there are popups within popups. We look forward to all the hidden treasures within. Sadly though the book came damaged at the binding. So I am returning this copy and Amazon is replacing it.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2022This proved the perfect gift for a student who spent a month in London studying Shakespeare with me. Any fan of the Bard who is at least middle-school age will delight in this one, what tackles the plays by genre.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2020My sister loves Shakespeare. I saw this children’s pop-up Shakespeare book and new it would make an awesome gift for my sister to share something she loves with her young grandchildren. The more she looks through the book the more she finds to enjoy. Lasting memories of things shared with your grandchildren makes this a priceless gift. Even though the youngest ones don’t quite understand it yet they love the pop-ups and this book will grow with them.

honeybeeReviewed in the United Kingdom on March 11, 20215.0 out of 5 stars Well made book, lots of information
I loved the little flaps that hid information, would probably suit an older child KS2 that is studying this or someone who has an interest in Shakespeare's plays.

Silvia DelaReviewed in Spain on November 24, 20195.0 out of 5 stars Genial regalo y libro de pop ups
