PMK to the rescue! Join Jay, Elisha, and Tyler as they explore the thrilling world of life saving rescues. Our intrepid hosts go along side-by-side with firefighters trying to contain a blaze; learn how a S.W.A.T. team handles a hostage situation; and trains with the L.A.P.D.

Emergency
FIRE!!! Elisha joins a team of firefighters as they control and extinguish blazes and takes a ride in a water bomber - a special plane designed for putting out fires. Jay visits a training school and visits the Ottawa International Airport to learn how firefighters train for real emergencies.

Emergency Rescues
It’s a race against time! Tyler learns how animals can save lives as rescue dogs search for people trapped under the snow. He then heads to the beach to visit the real Baywatch lifeguards and learns there’s much more to it than getting a suntan.

Life Savers
Safety first! Elisha gets a family of crash test dummies ready for a big test and Tyler gets in on the action at an armored car factory to help build one of the safest vehicles in the world.

Police Force
Beware lawbreakers - PMK is watching! Tyler explores the world of law enforcement as he joins the L.A.P.D. and trains to drive a police car in high pursuit chase. Elisha goes on the run tracking a fugitive from the air and on the ground.

I hate to knock the Popular Mecanics videos, but I have to a little. On one level they are really well done, but the frenetic feel and the too wise kids, give it a harder edge, imo, than our other videos about rescue or science related subjects. I bought several of these videos and have pushed them to the back, in favor of those with more genuine real characters and a less intense feel. I much prefer Fred Levine's and one we have called "Kids Love Fire Engines" made by David and Cameron Barrett. I'll probably resell this one, I'm sorry to say.

Bought when my son turned 4 - he's now 5 and still enjoys watching it. Worth the price. I am always impressed by Popular MEchanics for kids.
