I generally like this product, which I have been using on my travels for most of this year. One point that is unclear and a bit misleading is that there are really on 3 powered ports that will charge devices. The 4th port, described as "Charge and sync" is nothing more than a retractable USB extension cable. It has to be hooked to a computer to do anything other than take up space.
Personally, I would have much preferred to have this be an actual 4th charging port, but at the very least, it should be more clear in the description that this port is really just an extension cable.
This does charge an iPad at the same time as other devices, but you should note that as stated in the documentation you have to plug the iPad in first for it to charge, and then plug in other devices.
I rate this a four star product. It loses a star for having no surge protection and for wasting space on a useless USB extension cable.
