For the price this is a very good option. The fan didn’t particularly cool me in NYC heat. The fan had 3 cooling option low, medium and high. The noise wasn’t too high but you can hear it. The fan isn’t big and can fit comfortably in a small purse. All in all it’s a great tool to have on hot days. I use it also when I do my lashes or makeup for a quick dry

We have neck fans, but my wife hasn't been thrilled with them because she wants something that blows directly on her face. We also have the little fan blades that you can plug into your phone, and they tend to work intermittently (sometimes (she had to constantly keep pushing the blade into the phone's socket to make the thing work) and are also easily tangled in her hair if she's not careful. She's super happy with this little fan. It has 4 speeds (even though the lights indicate there are only 3 which is kind of weird but not a big deal). The two lowest speeds are very quiet, and the two higher ones aren't, but the noise isn't really a factor when it's 100 degrees and you're melting. This fan also has a detachable lanyard that fits around your neck which is much better than one that just fits around your wrist which many of the other ones out there have. Finally, while the others ones retail for anywhere from $10-$20, this one is six bucks. Great deal for a great little fan.
