Deep in the forest, hidden within a tree trunk, is a portal. Fewknow about the portal and no one knows where it leads. In The Portal Keeper:The Keeper Chronicles by S.T. Sanchez, the Maxwell family has guarded theportal in the tree trunk carefully and proudly. However, when Axel Maxwellabandons his duty, shame is brought upon the Maxwell family. Ajax, Axel'syounger brother, takes up the position of portal keeper, hoping to prove theking wrong about his thoughts of the Maxwell family. When Ajax finds amedallion with magical powers, his world is forever changed. He is soontransported to the other side of the portal where animals speak and elves rulethe world harshly. Ajax is quickly sucked into a quest to return home.
The Portal Keeper: The Keeper Chronicles by S.T. Sanchez is filled withcleverly created creatures that really help you to imagine the world. The storyis told from three characters' perspectives so at times it can be confusing. The characters are all unique and cool in their own way. The three charactersare Ajax, Crown Prince Blake, and his betrothed, Nivara. The settings that thestory takes place in are both creative and intriguing. Just to let you know, this is the first book in the series so expect some things not to be completelywrapped up. I would give this book a smiley face for effort. With cleverwording and creative ideas, it is a good read. There will be more books by S.T.Sanchez to look forward to.
