Portals of Infinity: Consequences Kindle Edition
One of the gods from the Seven Worlds has suddenly decided that they want to get revenge on Will and perhaps Feliogustus as well. Unaware that Feliogustus now has a presence in the Seven Worlds, they think that it will be an easy fight with a provincial god in some backwater reality. A god who has no way to strike back at them.
And now it's up to Will to show them just how big of a mistake they've made.

I am less sold on the relationship interactions which is much more a harem then in previous parts, it feels a bit like all the women are becoming the same character. The villains are a bit cartoonish, especially in their motivations, but that is no real issue for me. I do feel smugglers are romantized too much, which is odd considering how pirates are treated - as the nasty scum they in general were. All minor points, that don't detract much from my enjoyment of the story, but they do have an impact.
Still, I am happy to finally have a new part in the Portals serie and looking forward to the next part.
I did knock it down one star because the harem aspect is getting more and more in the way of the storyline. It's not Anita Blake lovingly detailed porn yet but it's distracting even at the "and we had a sweaty good time" fade to black level its at now because it happens constantly. I'd rather read about a gods champion having an adventure, not about him banging hot women throughout multiple worlds. If I want that I'd read Penthouse Forum for titillation.
But still, I like the story and the ideas in it and highly recommend the series.
Truly excellent series with realistic characters and a protagonist that becomes more than the thug he is in earlier books.

One of the Two Rivers Gods killed Will and Narama the high priestess newborn son/cub which drives Will and his god Fel into rage and vengeance and because those evil dastardly gods broke the rules every other god are supporting the retribution against them.
It’s a really amazing and epically fascinating episode!
