Can a trans man write about gender?
Yes and extremely well, it seems!Walking in someone else shoes creates empathy, understanding, and personal growth. People like the author, Mac Scotty McGregor, have seen both sides of the gender spectrum, and his honest insight is confirmed. Traditional male and female roles do not support how individual human beings are. This page-turner is full of enlightened gender education! Love the images and worksheets.I suggest this book should be used to educate people in higher learning, businesses, and municipalities. I wish I could give more stars.

As a psychotherapist whose focus of treatment includes men's mental health, a book like this about positive masculinity is just incredibly important for my clients, and is a valuable resource that I'll recommend to a great deal of the people I work with. I'm appreciative of what Mac has written for us here!

This book is a must read for all genders and all parents raising little humans. The toxicity around gender in American society attempts to cram people in boxes that limit their ability to live freely into their most authentic version of themselves. It is a subtle, yet very powerful system, that research shows manifests early in childhood. Positive Masculinity Now, makes visible many of these toxic messages and how they are metabolized by people in their lives. By making visible what is often invisible but powerful, Mac McGregor provides a path toward our own iiberation into the fullness of who were were meant to be. Do yourself a favor and read this book!

Our lives are usually conducted by a set of beliefs when it comes to the order of how the opposite genders should act or feel, and they can limit us as human beings and keep us away from being our true selves. Positive Masculinity Now helps us transform the way we see each other and creates a path for all of us to learn from in order to better the way we act towards one another. If you are passionate about Inclusive Masculinity, then this book is the one you need.

Endless regurgitation of dry facts and worn out workbook ideas. Should have been a book just about your life. Maybe a re edit might work. Giving another star but my review stands.

McGregor does an amazing job uncovering the brain washing our white patriarchal society has imposed on us all. This book is thoughtful, well researched, and a valuable tool for healing and growth. As a cis female I found it very informative and recommend it as a great read for all!
