Working for Argos as a demon hunter or spell caster is not an easy job but things get more difficult when Gunn and Cyra get thrown together dealing with what should have been a simple haunting but turns out to be so much more.
A Demon, portals to Hell, enchanted mistletoe and a possessed goose all make up a story that will have you glued to the pages. A great paranormal tale with a feel good Christmassy vibe.
Please note this is related to the Hell Unleashed series although you don't have to have read that before to enjoy this story.
I LOVED this story. It had lots of danger, magic and passion all mixed up into a melting pot to produce what is a great story that had me hooked from the start to the finish. Everything was well written and I defy anyone to read this story and not want to start reading the Hell Unleashed series. Lovely Christmas story which wasn't cheesy so definitely recommended for a bit of the Christmas spirit.
Cyra and Gunn have been dancing around a mutual attraction for a while, and when Cyra is sent on her first solo mission, Gunn just happens to show up to help out. It’s a good thing since the house she is there to cleanse isn’t your average haunted house. Cyra, Gunn and the two elderly owners find themselves trapped and in a dangerous situation that could get them all killed.
The story has a lot of action and romance and enough backstory on both Gunn and Cyra to make them solid characters. For some reason, I didn’t connect with either. I just had a tough time getting into this story. I just wasn’t feeling it. During the Holiday’s I want to watch holiday movies and read fluffy holiday stories. I just wasn’t in the mood for this genre.
Walsh introduced a slew of new Hunters in this novel, and I hope we get stories for them. The world is intense, and the characters are well developed. It will be interesting to see where she goes from here.
