Though the label (light blue) is different, the flavor seems the same as the old blue label Postum, of which I have a few outdated bottles. But the texture seems different, powdery instead of granular. Perhaps that's what makes the new product harder to dissolve in hot milk, resulting in too many wet lumps instead of a smooth mixture.

So thankful to have found this again. I used to drink it years ago, but it slowly started being removed from all of the stores in my area and then I found out that it was no longer being made.

I absolutely love coffee, but have a caffeine intolerance and even minute amounts bother me terribly. It has been a journey for me trying to find something that actually resembles something that I would want to drink. I've tried Daisy blend and Teeccino, but neither one of those quite hit the spot that my body craved.

This has a very nice mellow yet rich flavor that really satisfies. I think it's a little pricey compared to what it was the last time I bought it, but I'm thinking double the price in 12 years isn't bad. Thankfully no one else in the family will drink this but me, so I think the price is reasonable for 75 servings. If I drink a cup a day this will last me two and a half months and I'm happy with that. This is a small luxury that I'm happy to pay for and I highly recommend this drink!

I read the reviews and still decided to purchase this item. I have been weaning myself off caffeine and was down to 1 cup a day of 1/2 caf.
The taste is pretty good. I use powdered creamer and a tsp of sugar. What's missing is that deep dark roast taste.
As far as not dissolving, well yea it takes an effort. If you keep a spoon nearby (I keep one in my cup) and stir before sipping, you'll see there is zero residue in the bottom of the cup when finished.

It doesn’t taste the same, but it’s still good as a non-caffeinated option. It's unfortunate that it's so expensive; it's also hard to mix -- I recommend using really hot water and a tiny whisk to effectively deal with the clumps. The molasses gives it a hint of sweetness (and may be helpful for diabetics to be aware of), and it's actually quite delicious with a splash of cream. Hopefully the price will come down!

I've been trying to quit drinking coffee and I remembered good ole Postum from 35 years ago, so I ordered it. Even though it is overpriced. I'm so disappointed.
I contacted customer service and they were very apologetic and were willing to give me a full refund immediately. It was very important to them that I was fully satisfied with the outcome of this situation. Because of their willingness to be fair, I would gladly do business with them again. And you know, just maybe you might like their Postum. Give it a try. You have nothing to lose because they give excellent customer service.

I was super excited that I found this online. It was something I remember growing up with as a kid. My grandparents would switch to this instead of drinking coffee at night and I remember taking little sips with cream and sugar and absolutely loving it so when I found it online, it was a little hard to spend $15 on a tiny little jar, but I did when we received it, the bottle was sealed on the outside, but there was no seal on the inside which really kind of worried us so unfortunately, we did not try it because we did not feel comfortable with their not being a second seal, Not sure why it wasn’t sealed like everything else is? Kind of a bummer and kind of a waste of money.

I recently gave up coffee because it was giving me heartburn. I have acid reflux. Giving up coffee has helped with that considerably. As an added bonus it lowered my heart rate as well. I tried 4 different hot drinks to replace my morning coffee. Postum was the one I had the highest expectations for because it is so well-known. I chose to try the original flavor for the same reason. I do not like it black, but I never liked black coffee either, so I am ok with that. Postum has a pleasant taste (with cream) but it smells bad, which is a definite minus. And it's weird because you don't expect something that tastes good to smell bad. On the positive side, it tasted good without adding sugar. With coffee, I always needed both cream and sugar to make it to my liking. If you are looking for something that tastes like coffee, know that this doesn't. I don't mind that, as long as it tastes good. None of the 4 drinks I tried taste like coffee, but some of them came closer to the taste of coffee than Postum. Of the four I tried, I like Dandy Blend the best. In conclusion, I find Postum to be an acceptable coffee replacement, but not the best one. There are a whole bunch of different coffee replacement drinks being sold. None of the ones I tried are bad. Try a few yourself and figure out which one you like best.
