By day 3 we were going full days without any successes. That's when I found this book. Day one was tough of this method as I expected. Day two and day three got better. Now a week and a half later and my daughter is telling me when she needs to go potty. I am so relieved and so happy I found this book.
I feel this book works especially well for kids who are a little on the stubborn side. Lol. So glad I found this book!
I read some reviews refering to the "poop jail" and how the book tells you to gate them in the bathroom and leave them there until they go. I would like to say the author says both techniques feel "mean" to her and says if they make you uncomfortable not to use them.
The lenght of the book is perfect. Yes it is short, but what parent wants to read a novel about potty training. For the results that we saw I would say the price is definatley worth it!
After reading each review I decided to purchase Potty Boot Camp for my Kindle. My husband and I read the book which is to the point and has a nice to do list and daily time line. We went out and purchased small-large gifts, drinks and other bribes. I have to say I never feed my child sugary drinks and salty/sugary snacks. But I wanted to follow the guidelines and bought them any ways.
First day was very hard on the whole family and she did not initiate like the book mentioned 90% of children will do the fist day. I was a bit discouraged and before bed the 1st night I read "If day 1 doesn't go as planned." After reading we had the courage to continue the 2nd day and first thing in the morning she initiated. From there I continued to follow the books instructions. After 3 days of training my child has had 1 accident and is dry after naps and night time. We went from changing 8 diapers a day to none. She went to daycare on day 4 and still not a single accident.
I was nervous that she would be expecting big bribes every time she goes, but she is very happy with a sticker or a M&M. I would highly recommend this book....I am telling everyone.
