Product Description

The pet park is the good solution for pet accident-free living. Perfect for when you're late coming home to let the dog out, or unable to let your pet outside due to bad weather. It prevents messy indoor accidents by giving your pet a place to go potty instead of on your floor or furniture. Its 3-stage protection keeps your home clean and odor-free. Your pet uses the synthetic grass mat to urinate. The elevated grid tray keeps the mat high above the liquid, which falls down into the collection tray in the base. Just empty the tray at the end of the day and wash in warm soapy water. The reusable surface mat rinses clean and stores easily to stay fresh and sanitary. Great for porches, patios, and balconies too. You can use it for potty-training your young pet, or to help your mature or special-needs dog.

I recently brought home 2 small breed puppies. I live in a second level condominium, so traditional 'out-door' potty training is pretty impractical. After a bit of research, I came across the Indoor Pet Potty Park System and decided to give it a try. The puppies took to it immediately... accidents and 'puppy gifts' went from being the rule of thumb to a bare minimum, greatly reducing the damage to our light colored carpets. The only thing that I have added to the system is an absorbent puppy pad between the grass pad and the rubberized mat. This has greatly reduced clean up time. I also strongly recommend buying a second grass pad. This has alloweds me to swap out pads instead of having to immediately clean and dry a single pad. Clean up of the pads is easy... they are machine washable or they can be washed in the tub/shower and hung to dry. This product is a definite must for anyone potty training new puppies or living situations where going potty outside is not really practical.

Puppy went right to it and has used it since I set it up. Still have some PP problems but poops on it every time. Easy to clean and I spray Lysol on it for a clean fresh smell!

I purchased one of these to put on my back porch for when it is -40 below outside and my dog has to go. I had already trained him to pee in a litter box , similar to a cat. So I though honestly it would not be that hard to get my dog to adapt to this matt as a place to poop and pee. I tried everything I could think of to get my dog to notice this matt and to want to use it for going poop. There is hormonal spray you can buy that encourages a dog to use a the treated area for evacuation. I tried that. I took out the pee pads we used when potty training and placed them over the whole thing, He simply did not want to use it to go poop. He sometimes uses it to go pee, if I am unable to take him outside for some reason.

I feel mislead. I "bought into" the idea that any animal presented with this set up, the faux grass etc.. would want to use it as a place to go to the bathroom. I thought this esp. because I had already trained my pet to pee in a certain place, so they would take to this. I was wrong. My pet to this day months after purchase still refuses to use it for anything but pee. Then because the smell - to a dog - stays in the matt no matter how well it is rinsed - he gets confused and thinks there is pee just hanging out in his territory. He has tried attacking the top matt, pulling the "grass" out of it's weave very easily. The matt is made of plastic fibers and glue of some sort. I definitely don't want him eating or even biting at this thing.

So, in my experience it was a $40.00 waste of money. Live and learn. And once it has been peed on how can I return it?

Design wise you either have to keep an eye on it, or use pee pads at the ground level. More then once I have picked it up only to tilt it slightly and end up with pee on my carpet or floor. I am saying it fills to slipping point after two uses . I found it hard to gage how much pee may or may not be in the bottom catch pan.

I reccommend this product for anyone who has a puppy or dog that just can't wait to be let outside. My puppy immediately seemed to know what it was for and I can say it really works! The cleaning of this product is a quick & easy task.

It was not instantaneous for my dog to use this product but he eventually figured out to use it without me training him. He's still not consistent about it but it works and it's easy to clean!

It may work, but have had trouble training our dog to use it.
He think it's a bed.
How do I rate something that relies on the owner and an animal to use it properly?
I'm giving it a 3- others have had better luck with it.
Wish I was one of them.

I purchased this potty patch for my 10 week old Aussie pup. She didn't understand what it was for at first even though she was being trainned outside on real grass as well. I moved it into the bathroom next to the bathtub and I will take her in there to relieve herself now. She uses it and took to it immediately! To me, you cannot smell the urine on it as bad as the poop. I find that if I remove the poop every time she goes and dispose of it outside then it doesn't smell. I also purchased a odor and stain remover from Natures Miracle and I place the whole patch in the empty bathtub every night, put the odor remover on it and then spray the grass part with the shower head, remove it to dry, then spray the other two trays as the odor remover will sink to the bottom when placed on grass. I leave it to dry in the tub overnight and when we wake up in the morning it is dry, clean and ready for Ms. Lucy to use again!
