Liked that it mentioned the kids being scared or using the bathroom but that Ryder said that it's a part of getting bigger and the pups said sometimes they have to do things that scare them but it will be okay. Good for toddlers that understand the "how" of how to use the potty and the "why" but are nervous about actually doing it. Plus it's paw patrol so you can't disappoint a toddler with it. It's a board book too with a padded cover so it is good quality and it can be wiped off if needed.

I consider myself a connoisseur of children's potty training books and this one is pretty bad. Doesn't really cover the basics with them just has a bunch of dogs running around barking. Don't waste your time

I’m glad there is a potty paw patrol book that’s also hardcover! It’s a cute book and my 2.5 year likes it a lot (he has a potty Thats from paw patrol too and about 2 months after buying this book he started going pee on the potty on his own) but things I wish were different are that it doesn’t show the kids actually sitting on the potty which would have been helpful and also the kids have big kid underwear from beginning to end instead of diapers at beginning when they tell paw patrol pups they like their diapers just fine. Everest says when you are little u wear diapers and when you are older you get big kid underwear so it would make more sense to have them in underwear at the end when they successfully use the potty.

Ok so I bought this book for my 3 year old who LOVES Paw Patrol but hates potty training. Seems like the perfect combo, right? Wrong. I am honestly disappointed that I wasted money on this book.
When you open the book you learn about Carlos and Claudia, who don't want to get rid of their diapers and say the bathroom is "scary". So in comes the Paw Patrol, they give them a few words of encouragement ad tell them not to use too much toiler paper and to wash their hands. The book is just the Paw Patrol saying a bunch of stuff, and then the kids magically go into the the bathroom and come out and are like "yeah we did it we can use the potty now!"
One of the big issues I have with this book(besides the storyline being awful) is that in the beginning and the end of the book, the kids are wearing the same undies. Why are they not first wearing the diapers they don't want to get rid of. They are already wearing undies so what's the problem? My 3 year called this out. So now I need to cut out some diaper shapes to put on Claudia and Carlos otherwise this book might as well be donated.

My son was excited because he loves Paw Patrol, however it doesn’t really help with teaching him to use the potty. It’s mostly about the pups being brave and going on missions so be brave and use the potty. It mentions not wearing diapers and wearing big kid underwear but that’s about it.
We’ve been potty training for almost a week now and he’s doing great, I just wish the book explained more about peeing and pooping on the potty and how pooping can be scary and new.

This is paw patrol and a potty book but not a very detailed potty book. It talks mostly of being brave and going potty to be on the "potty patrol". Not so much what happens when your in the bathroom so nothing explained on the how to potty side.
They start out showing two kids in T-shirt and diapers (that don't look like diapers) and then at the end they graduate to Big Kid Underwear but the cartoons have on the same exact bottoms.
It is not horrible or anything it is just not a very good potty book, and my kid loves paw patrol but does not seem to get much out of this book.

It's a book about using the toilet. I've seen better and I've seen worse. I guess the only thing about it I don't care for is that the bratty kids in the story are afraid of the potty. I'm not trying to put the idea in my kids head that there is some reason to be scared of the potty so i feel like that part of the book is counter productive. When he asks me why Carlos is afraid of the potty i feel like telling him it's because Carlos is a p word but i hold back and try to say "oh he's just pretending"...

I got this because my 2 year old was potty/toilet trained a few weeks ago but has since regressed. She loves paw patrol so this seemed like the perfect purchase to get her back on track. Its an okay book i guess but its disappointing that they don't actually have any pictures of the characters sitting on the potty. Just the end result of them washing their hands. The story line could have been better if you ask me.

Not much potty training
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 19, 2020Verified Purchase
Disappointing as it doesn't really show or teach much in the way of actual potty training. It doesn't go into any detail and it doesn't ever show the kids sitting on the potty which makes it difficult for a 2 year old to relate to. Also worth noting it's USA based so words like 'Diaper' are used instead of nappy. It's ok as a supplementary book to keep little Paw Petrol fans occupied while sitting on the potty I guess.

Can't go wrong with Paw Patrol

My son loves this book. We're potty training him and he just loves that all the Paw Patrol characters are in there showing the potty. I knocked one star off because it's in American English and I have to keep remembering to say 'nappy' instead of 'diaper'. Also because the story could be better but hey, can't go wrong with Paw Patrol. My son actually asks for his Potty Patrol book so that's a good sign

My LO didn’t want to hear about potty training at all. It was just nightmare,I have tried all methods recommended and no luck. As she is a great fan of Paw Patrol,I thought, let’s try last time, worst case,we will have another book to return🙈🤦♀️After reading it to her for a 2nd time miracle happened, she said she wanted a potty to pee🥳no signs of nappies since then!

Not a potty training book!

The book was liked by my son as it had the paw patrol characters but it didn’t help at all to explain about potty training! And that was the point of the book. I do not recommend.
