Top customer reviews
Having a Polan Pro 25cc Blower and knowing how easily that starts and runs everytime, and based on reviews of this 28cc, professional size trimmer, I ordered it here. I am glad I did. It makes very, very short work of everything I put in front of it. Of course the first test were the overgrown Salvia bushes, with some branches in the 3/4" range that needed to be trimmed back. It cut through them like a hot knife through butter. I thin tried the fine leaved bushes under the windows, and it did a great job of shaping them. The rotating handle helps for getting down low and on the sides when trying to shape a rounded bush (this takes practice, but is quickly mastered I found).
The tools is very well balanced, and you can use that balance after you learn this tool to make your work easy. It starts very easily, and it easy to learn how to operate the throttle. When you read the manual, it tells you not to keep it WOT for more than a minute at a time (they all say this), before backing off for a few seconds. I thought this was odd, and would be an inconvience, but I haven't really come across a situation where WOT is needed for more than a couple seconds. The trimmer cuts though most bushes and hedges with no more than 1/2 throttle needed, and you only need WOT when doing deep cuts on very overgorwn, and dense, hedges.
I would recommend wearing safety glasses, gloves, blue jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and boots, as it recommends in the owners manual, as the bush cuttings can at times fling out when you are cutting deadwood that is more brittle.
In short, this machine does everything it is advertised to do, and it does it well. I own a Husqvaran riding mower, and this is every bit as well built as Husqvarna products for 1/2 the price.
